1. Amedzofe located in the Volta Region about 25 minutes from Ho is the highest habitable settlement in Ghana of an estimated elevation of 677 meters above sea level. It is covered with good vegetation with its community covered with fog. The Mount Gemi which is the mountain that accounts for this high elevation is the second highest Mountain in Ghana. With these it has a very cold climate.

2. Okwahu Abetifi is the second highest settlements of about 601 meters above sea level. Abetifi is part of a cluster of towns in Kwahu. This located in the Eastern Region of Ghana. It is also covered in green vegetation and has a very cold climate.

3. Akuapem Mountains (Aburi, Adukrom and Akropong), this places third with an elevation of about 460 meters above sea level. It is also located in the Eastern Region of Ghana. This area is known for the largest production of Oil Palm and Cocoa in Ghana. This area in known for its precipitous valleys which makes farming very difficult.

4. Nyangboe Sroe is located in the Volta Region at the Afadzato South District where the largest Mountain is found. It is fourth in the top highest habitable settlement in Ghana but its high is unknown and is also has the highest populated Settlement in Ghana. It is believed that the habitants here experience snow-fall mid of June. It is also covered in green vegatation and has very cold climate.
