The Young Woman Engineer of the Year awards 2023 ✨
A wonderful evening celebrating women in engineering! Congratulations to all of this year's finalists and winners. I'm hugely proud to have been a finalist this year. Imposter syndrome made me doubt that I would get that far and to be recognised by for the work that I love to do is incredible.
Forever thankful for all of the kind words, lovely messages and support I received before and after the ceremony.
To all of the young girls out there who are thinking of becoming engineers, do it!!! There are so many inspirational role models and it's a fantastic career choice. I couldn't imagine doing anything else.
And of course I had to represent in a sari 💫

Lord Bhattacharyya Engineering Education Programme Celebration ✨
Last December I got to speak to around 150 guests about my career journey at the Lord Bhattacharyya Engineering Education Programme Celebration event.
This was the largest audience I’ve spoken to in person before. The nerves kicked in just before I stepped up to the podium but I loved it! Stuck around for a few hours and it was great to chat to the students afterwards.
Thank you to the Royal Academy of Engineering for having me!

I met someone this week who recognised my pin badge and told me about a friend who has the physicist version. Her friend was wearing it on the train when a young child saw it and it sparked a conversation about Physics between them ⚛️
Loved hearing this because it's why I continue running the shop 💖
