Sweet little writing desk was fun to do with a combo chalk paint and milk paint finish.The chair was not so much fun 😳 I purchased it after I had finished the desk and it was a major pain to match up the finishes 🙄. Creativity + Off- the- cuff design = you better remember what order you do things 🤔.

🦉 This sweet little owl is a pattern I created a few years ago. It's made from all recycled and felted wool and left over faux fur. It's always a fun challenge to see how I can use leftover scraps.

I've been working on some lovely pieces of furniture lately (and, yes, I'm still making books) but couldn't resist trying my hand at perfecting different aged effects. It's so much better in person too! I don't, currently, have a staging area but wanted to show the beautiful .
This piece was done with different shades of and finished with wax.

Very few folks realize (up to now) that, for approximately a year, me and my Aunt Becky (another avid book maker), have donated some of our handmade journals to a Christian (live-in) drug rehabilitation campus for women. 💞
We wanted to not only use our gifts and talents to support these brave women in their journey to health but to make their journaling a treasure. We know, through the letters we've received, how much the ladies love and appreciate their new keepsakes!
