I’d taste this moonshine again 🤤

You might not have heard about The Mob Museum located in Downtown Las Vegas and IF you have you might not know they distill their own moonshine in the basement ! Guests have the option to add this moonshine tasting tour/experience to their museum visit and of course I recommend doing it. I learned a good amount about prohibition and the distillation process and totally got a little buzz on 🐝

Davy’s is on Main St in the Arts district, in a prime location to stop into at any point BUT definitely a poppin place to chill on 🎉

Thank God for casino lounges amiright?!? I got the perfect opportunity to hit up The Dorsey this weekend- my plans got pushed back just as I was pulling up to the casino so I figured I’d just spend some time gambling 🎰 that is until I noticed the lounge was open and veered off track :p

This drink is made with fresh pressed 🍏 juice that is made to order 🤤 and you can tell!

I’ve been trying to get into this prohibition style taqueria for a hot minute! This parlor is hidden down a tunnel behind a store front taco shop 🌮 reservations are required right now cause COVID but your gonna want one even when this mandate lifts because this place is always poppin! 💃🏾

There are so many fun photo opportunities here , from the red rose proscenium to a beautiful mural of a woman on the back wall 🖼

It’s beginning to look a lot like cocktails 🎵

I’m obsessed with the holiday decorations that have been set up here 🎁🎄 This swanky cocktail lounge has 2 floors, the upper being a roof top deck with a magnificent view of Downtown Las Vegas ❣️

This is a special one for me because during normal circumstances this place also doubles as an EDM venue- that’s actually how I discovered this bar .. I went to a show here back in February and fell in love 🤪

Trying out cocktails at a lounge we’ve never been to before 🍹 drinking with my favorite ladies 🥰 Amy Tompkinson Nancy Thibodeau Tompkinson Hoke 😇

Last week I made pineapple watermelon salad which I didn’t eat 🤣 it was yummy but sadly I forgot about it - before I threw it away today I decided to strain and bottle the juice that pulled from the fruit and make a cocktail with it 🍉🍍 shout out Peggy Patten Fellegy for buying our house this bottle of grapefruit gin on the most recent cousins trip 🥰🤪 Thanks Peggy 💕

To make the basil syrup I harvested basil that I planted from seed, I bring equal parts water and sugar to a boil then reduce heat to a simmer and add an equal amount of basil - I let it simmer for about 3 minutes then shut off the heat, let steep for 30 minutes. Then strain your syrup through a mesh strainer and cheese cloth to get all the herb and bits out. Refrigerate for up to 30 days 👍🏾

Recipe :
3oz Malfy grapefruit gin
3oz ‘tropical juice 5 -.75 oz basil simple syrup 🌿 (varies dependent on how sweet you want it )

*garnish with a fresh basil leaf

Gonna make something yummy out of this juice 🍍🍉

Today’s cocktail is an Aperol spritz 🍊 the recipe for this yummy cocktail is on the back of the bottle - it only takes 3 ingredients to make this deliciously refreshing drink 🍹

Recipe:
Equal parts Aperol && Prosecco
Top with a splash of soda water 💦

For a little extra yum I added 2/3 oz of elderflower liquor (St. Elder)

2oz your choice Tequila
1/2 a squeezed lime
1oz fresh grapefruit juice
Top with grapefruit soda
** garnish with lime
