[NEW PUBLICATION] Honored to be one of the author of this amazing book (in Spanish) that provides a psychological analysis of 7 stories of Anton Chekhov, who is considered to be among the greatest writers of short fiction in history.

🔴Check it out on Amazon and seek my chapter (in French) focusing on the border between normal and pathology through the story “The Black Monk”, and those of my colleagues from Dominican Republic, Cuba and Argentina.

Many thanks to my colleague Miguelina Justo for inviting me to be part of this amazing book project.

I felt very humbled and honored that my personal story and commitment to Haiti 🇭🇹 could inspire these student leaders to contribute to their community. Thank you to my friend Amy Jansen Roe for making this happen last week.

I will be very happy to meet you this Tuesday April 16th, between 4:00-6:00pm at Sun King Kokomo, to discuss my vision as the new Executive Director at Nadege, inc., after being the longtime clinical director of this great non-profit organization that implemented in Haiti an empowerment safe house, focusing on providing holistic care to women survivors of sexual exploitation.

✨What a wonderful turn out for Sunday conversation which addressed the mental health and psychosocial support of Haitian immigrants in Indianapolis.

Fellow Haitians, and friends of Haiti— including leaders, scholars and practitioners— sat down for more than three hours at Souke Banquet to discuss challenges related to mental healthcare and what steps the City of Indianapolis has been taken – and what more must still be done – to create far-reaching accessibility for immigrants/person of color, and gaze toward achieving equitable mental healthcare.

Also, my heartfelt thanks to my brother Websder Corneille for moderating and facilitating the conversation with thought-provoking questions, and invaluable insights.

I also would like to express my deepest feelings of gratitude to Souke’s owners, Mr. & Mrs. Dambreville, who hosted me and attendees with grace and courtesy, and granted everyone healthy snacks. Don’t forget to visit the place, and thanks me later! Thanks to my brother Guy Wewe for making this happen!

This conversation was the first part of a series of meetings with policy makers, local and community leaders, scholars that we intend to pursue in Indiana, and elsewhere. Stay tune for the next dates and venues!

✨Hello Haitians, and friends of Haiti! This Sunday, April 14th, at 4:00pm, I will be discussing with Websder Corneille the topic of “Mental Health” among immigrants in Indianapolis, specifically the Haitian community.

What are the challenges related to mental health Haitian immigrants are dealing with in Indianapolis? How to support them?

The conversation will take place this Sunday, April 14th, at 4:00pm at Souke Banquet, 4435 N Keystone Ave #14 Indinapolis, IN 46205. Snack will be provided to participants!

Don’t miss this important conversation!

🚨Today in Haïti, the number of girls and women who report experiencing sexual violence continues to be alarmingly high. Longer-term, safe and secure shelter solutions remain one of the greatest and most urgent needs for a lot of survivors. That’s the reason why Nadege, inc.implemented in Haiti an empowerment safe house, focusing on providing holistic care to women survivors of sexual exploitation.
I’m so thrilled being part of that mission since the beginning. The safe house is for the Haitian community. No matter what happens, this facility will remain a community-based project.
