Can you believe I used to NEVER dress up for date nights? It was always sneakers, jeans and a “nice top”. WHICH I STILL OFTEN DO, don’t get me wrong.
I would get SO nervous at the thought of him noticing I put a lot of effort into myself. I didn’t want to look like I tried to hard.
I also felt that way about complete strangers. Walking in somewhere, a little over dressed…. “Who does she think she is?”
I don’t know where it came from. Maybe trying a little of this and a little of that until I no longer cared. Maybe my LOVE for outfits. Maybe that’s what happens when you’re 27 and not 23. But now I literally wear whatever I want, wherever I want. I’m usually a little overdressed, and I’ve grown to love it. Sometimes, I’ll ask Myron his opinion on something. Should I wear this with that or that with this? And whatever he picks, I usually pick opposite. Is that intentional? I’ll let you decide. 😉
