As Gaza remains under siege with no place to escape, whatever we were trying to rethink or question as a group and elsewhere, has been dismantled as this unbearable genocide in Palestine continues.
This is the time to totally delink from assumptions, ideas, language, categories that make such genocides possible. RE India expresses it unreserved solidarity with Palestinian civilians. We unequivocally endorse this statement of solidarity from Diversifying and Decolonising Economics initiative (D-Econ) - https://t.ly/MPUOd
Decolonization is not a metaphor. "Let us admit it, the settler knows perfectly well that no phraseology can be a substitute for reality." (Fanon, 1963).
And most definitely; All loss of life is painful. No life is safe under conditions of oppression. For the safety of all lives, oppression must end.
We call academics workers and networks committed to human rights, social justice and anti-imperialism to speak out against the Israeli occupation of Palestine and to pledge support for Palestinian resistance and liberation.
A great call for the members of the academic community in the - https://lnkd.in/dip9edrX
