First few shows and our products from the beginning of this little venture. That had many business names. This was the first time that Jess and I have worked together on business projects. Usually I would let him do his own thing. We figured out that he’s really good with the cutting etc. I (Bethany) love doing the crafty finishing. He also didn’t go out to shows the first 2 years.
Hey Yuma!
Bethany is feeling under the weather so we're not going to be able to make it to the Desert Grace Vendor Village tomorrow (Wednesday, 13 December). We're going to give her a chance to recover some more before our first time attending Friday Night Munchies this Friday! We hope see everyone on Friday, but if not, we'll be back at Desert Grace next Wednesday.
Hey Yuma!
We’re getting set up out at the First Christian Church for today’s event! There are going to be a lot of great vendors out here today so stop by and get a jump on Christmas Shopping!
Hey Yuma!
Vendors are getting set up for today’s Vendor Village at Desert Grace. There are a bunch of great vendors that will be out here today! Come get an early start on your holiday shopping and support small local businesses at the same time!
Hey Yuma!
We will be at the Desert Grace Church of the Nazarene for the weekly Vendor's Village this Wednesday, December 6th, from 9am to 2pm! We've been able to restock a little from last week and we can always take custom orders!
First up, we have a new Yuma 2023 Christmas Ornament designed by me. It is made from two layers of high quality Baltic Birch, laser cut and engraved. The back part has the shape of Arizona and is hand-painted. We're selling these for $10.
Next are customizable Dog Tags. They can either be setup as keychains or as necklaces. These are examples that we have made, but we have plenty of other designs to choose from. They can be customized fully with text and other graphics on them.
And finally, we have a stock of RFID blocking Minimalist Wallets. These wallets are slim, hold a surprising number of cards, and have a money clip on the back. They are engineered to block RFID signals to help protect your card information from anyone who might want to scan them wirelessly. We have various colors to choose from and they can be completely customized with text, photos, or logos on the front. There is also room on the back, below the money clip, to personalize them further with a name or other text. The ones in this example are some that I engraved to showcase them. You can choose one of these designs or we can design one specifically for you that will be one-of-a kind!
Come see us tomorrow at Desert Grace! The address is:
Desert Grace Church
12134 N Frontage Rd, Yuma, AZ 85367
Located on the North Frontage Road between Fortuna and Foothills Boulevard.
If you can't make it to see us tomorrow, we will also be set up at the First Christian Church on Saturday, from 9am to 1pm. Here is the address for that event:
3261 S Ave 6 E, Yuma, AZ 85365
We look forward to seeing everyone!
Hey Yuma!
Well, that's November 2023 in the bag. Our first month back in action was definitely busy. The month culminated with 3 back-to-back events. We were on-site at Howling at the Moon both days this month, then the very next day we attended our first event at Desert Grace church for the season. It was a good time for sure, though it was pretty hard on Bethany. She's a trooper, though we'll probably have to try to avoid weeks like that.
We made a lot of cool things this past month, especially with the new lasers. There was also a certain item we had out at Howling that was WAY more popular than I expected. Who would have thought so many people needed that many valve-stem covers?!
To start the new month out, I wanted to showcase some of the items we made that I thought were cool, as well as what we're moving into as December kicks off.
To start with, we started engraving these really cool Minimalist Wallets. They hold your ID as well as a good number of other cards, and they have a money clip on the back. I engraved them with some cool images from a site I'm a member of, but I can engrave nearly anything onto them. For instance, I engraved the business logo for The Smokin Hen House on one. Johnny sent me the logo via text and after a little tweaking, I put it on a nice red one. Then I personalized the back of it with a name.
The next cool thing we made was this 3d Printed Rose Dragon. It turned out really cool and we have some awesome models that I'm planning on printing this month. The bearded dragon we had was very popular.
The last thing I want to showcase is a memorial photo on slate. This is just one of my test pieces on a slate coaster while I narrow the settings down, but it turned out really good. It is a photo of my friend Carl Putnam who died a few years back. I'm working on a couple of memorial pieces to send to his daughters that I'll be doing on a larger piece of slate.
Finally, a glimpse of what's to come this month. Yep, that's right. We're back in the Ornament game! These are just a few of the designs we're producing for 2023. We also have a new 2023 Yuma ornament that I designed available. It's going to be a great season!
I have plenty of the minimalist wallets in stock and custom orders are definitely welcome. I can probably put anything you would like on the wallet so definitely contact us and we can see what we can do. I can also ship anywhere in the continental U.S. for a reasonable shipping fee and I'm always happy to deliver locally too. We picked up a few custom orders this past Wednesday when we were at Desert Grace. Definitely message us if you have an idea for a custom one-of-a-kind gift!
The next event that we will be attending is the Vendor Village at Desert Grace church in the Foothills off of the North Frontage Road between Fortuna and Foothills Boulevard. We will be there this Wednesday and we hope to see you all there!
Hey Yuma!
I wanted to give a quick shout-out to Supers Junk Removal Business. They came out this morning, gave me a quote to have some stuff removed, and then returned this afternoon to take care of the job. They were quick, professional, and reasonably priced. If you need some junk hauled away, definitely give them a call!
Hey Yuma!
We’re back out at Howling at the Moon for day two! We had a great time seeing everyone who stopped by our booth yesterday!
Everything really starts to kick off here at 3pm but we will be setup and ready to sell in an hour or so. Come on out for great music, food, and some excellent vendors.
Fat Bottom Pizza got some business from us yesterday. Today is going to be The Smokin Hen House for sure!
Hey Yuma!
We’re getting set up out at Howling at the Moon! We will be out here today and tomorrow for both days of the event! There are a number of other vendors out here as well as some excellent food vendors! Fat Bottom Pizza is one of my personal favorites!
Come and see!
Hey Yuma! I know it's a little late, but I wanted to make a quick post!
We're going to be super busy for the next two weeks. As of right now, we will be at Howling at the Moon tomorrow and Tuesday. Then on Wednesday, we will be at the Desert Grace church for our first even there in at least a year. Come out and see us! We have lots of new, cool things and custom orders are welcome!
Check out these RFID blocking Minimalist wallets! We will have these designs and more with us. There is space on the back to customize them and I will be doing that on-site from now on!
Hey Yuma! Available now, RFID blocking minimalist wallets! Various designs and custom orders available! Come see us out at the next Howling at the Moon as well as every Wednesday at Desert Grace church in the foothills starting next week!
Hey Yuma! We got some new equipment and more on the way! This is what I call a Wallet Memorial Photo and it was made with the xTool F1 pictured here! It is laser engraved on a metal business card and can be completely customized with your loved one's photos. They don't have to be a memorial for someone who has passed either. We can do any kind of photo you would like using our new xTool F1 Laser. We can do these on-site while you wait!
Fresh off the printer! Multi-Color Rose Dragon! Available tomorrow at the FCC Vendor Event!
Hey Yuma! I got a new tool! Want a different verse? Maybe a different image? How about a memorial image with a nice quote on the back. Yep, we can do it on-site while you wait!
There are some caveats to that. It will take some time to prep custom images and I will only be able to do a certain number of custom items during the event times due to the time it takes to prep and engrave items. If we run out of time during the events, we will finish up and arrange for pickup or delivery for locals. We also offer good shipping rates for the continental U.S.
Hey Yuma!
We had a great time at Howling at the Moon last month! We're definitely looking forward to attending all of them this season! That said, we will be attending the FCC Vendor Bazaar this weekend. Here is the flyer they put out for it! We look forward to seeing you all there!
Hey Yuma!
We had a great time at the first Howling at the Moon yesterday! I can't believe how many people were there for the first one of the season! We will definitely be attending the rest of them this season. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth!
That being said, I woke up to a message this morning letting me know that Howling at the Moon was cancelled for today due to the weather. It is supposed to be really windy most of the day, so I totally understand and was concerned about it too.
The next event that we will be attending is the FCC Vendor Market on November 11th. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
Hey Yuma!
After our failure to launch last weekend due to the heat, we're raring to go for this weekend! We'll be out at Howling at the Moon for both days, Saturday, October 28th and Sunday, October 29th! The weather is going to be great and it'll be a great way for us to start off the season! Come out for a good time. There will be vendors, food, events, and of course, Music!!

Hey Yuma!
A couple of things. First, this page got stolen for a couple of weeks and whomever stole it might have posted some spammy stuff. If you saw anything between about May 15th and Today come from this page, it definitely wasn't us. They got in, removed me (Jess) from being an admin, and it took Facebook support a bit to get it sorted out. All good now though!
Next: I'm starting to get back into the swing of things since the onset of Bethany's health issues last August. I've had to evaluate what kinds of things I want to produce since Bethany can't help much right now. I'm leaning more towards smaller metal items, but will still consider custom work on a case-by-case basis. The big thing is that the amount of time that things may take will depend entirely on how much help Bethany needs with things.
And lastly, I'm working on some metal business cards for a customer today. I'm not 100% sure what they are, but from the sound the metal makes, I'm pretty sure that they are powder-coated steel cards. Some are gold colored, some are gunmetal. Both end up with white text when hit with the laser.
Hey Yuma!
So I wanted to take a few minutes and give some updates on Bethany.
It's been a difficult 8 months since the onset of everything. The V.A. absolutely dropped the ball and things over all haven't been good for her. There is, however, now some hope to start managing things.
Back in August, they had no idea what was going on. The VA, did what the VA does. Ignore the evidence, fail to investigate any of the issues, and hyper-focus on the wrong thing without looking into the root cause of what is going on. They thought it might be Multiple-Sclerosis, but their Neurology team in Tucson blew it off and didn't do anything further.
Fast-forward a few months and Bethany discovered the last piece of her family history. She located and got into contact with some folks on her biological dad's side of the family. From there, she discovered that most of them have Lupus, which has some similarities to M.S. as they are both Auto-Immune diseases.
She immediately informed her primary VA doc of this discovery who then promptly neglected to update her record and pass on the information to Neurology or get her the right referrals to Rheumatology. In the mean time, nothing was being done at all to alleviate her issues.
Because the VA was so hyper-focused on avoiding doing anything at all, they failed to notice the severe spinal issues in the multitude of MRIs they took back in August. We've looked at the imagery and it isn't hard to spot, even for a layman.
Fast-forward again to last month. She has been more or less bed-ridden since August, barely able to get to the bathroom on her own. Her legs gave out on her and she fell, which caused severe pain in her back. It was bad enough that I called an ambulance to take her to Yuma Regional. That was the typical goat-rope that YRMC is and aside from some fluids and some steroids, nothing was really investigated there either. However, the steroids did help her back and in general she felt better but no actual investigation of the issue was done.
Her VA nurse told her to go to the Exceptional ER here and they would have her transported to the Tucson VA. That was absolutely not how it worked out. The Tucson VA ER didn't have any beds and wouldn't accept the transport, so the Doc at Exceptional arranged transport to Banner in Mesa.
That place is phenomenal. They had it pretty well sorted out and the right referrals put in within a couple of days. She left there feeling much better than she had been.
In any event, after an appointment with Rheumatology, the labs are pointing towards Lupus and possibly Rheumatoid Arthritis. They have physical therapy coming to the house for her back and have her on some anti-inflammatory steroids to help with the back.
There is still a long road ahead and she'll likely never be back to where she was before August, but she's optimistic. She is planning on us starting back up with the Vendor markets next season as long as things have smoothed out. We won't be having nearly as big of a booth and we're going to slim down what we actually have with us, but we're hoping to be there.
She really misses going out to the markets and wants to start again when she can. Tentatively, she wants to do the Wednesday market at Desert Grace and FCC's monthly market. Even once she's in treatment, I don't know if she'll be able to do more than that. She might not be able to do that much. Folks with Lupus aren't supposed to be in direct sunlight, and we live in the worst possible place for that.
Anyway, that's about where we're at right now. I've been doing small jobs here and there, but mostly just hanging out with Bethany and helping her as she needs it.
