A nice swarm capture this afternoon after I got a call from some friends who have been eagerly waiting for some bees. A swarm had landed on their own property in a lovely position which meant an easy capture. What an introduction to beekeeping!You both did so well! It was meant to bee ๐

How about this guy Steve Cooper rescuing Bee hives at Camdenโs Community Gardens wearing nothing but a singlet and shorts.
The bees are still flying in and out.
His good friend Justin OโBrien turned up to help too. Thereโs thousands of bees in here.
They must have known they were being rescued. They saved 6 hives.

Amazing colours of honey...I can only imagine the different tastes
London (UK) beekeepers made a giant backlit pyramid of honey to show off all the different pretty shades. Very nice.

Photo 1 shows the difference between girl and boy bees. Pink arrow is a female worker bee, Blue arrows are male drones who are larger and also have bigger eyes. Females do all the work and can sting while the males do not sting and their only purpose is to mate after which they die ๐คทโโ๏ธ 2nd and third photos show the different coloured pollen the bees are bringing in. This is how honey gets its different colour and tastes ๐ ๐๐ป๐ธ๐ผ๐บ
The bees were active today, bringing in lots of pollen.
