Always Magic Crafts
Welcome to my shop. Everything here is handmade. I have a number of products that can be seen here, but purchased from my Etsy shop, AlwaysMagicCrafts.
I haven't posted in ages. We've been pretty busy around here but I've still been crocheting during my little bit of free time. It took me much too long, but here is my second dino. 1st the triceratops, and now a brontosaurus. Absolutely love how these guys are turning out. πβ€π¦π¦π§Ά
Yarn Love 2022 challenge day #26! Sunday share. Well we're finally headed home. It's been a long, fun, and adventurous trip, and we're already looking forward to the next one. π₯°πΊβοΈπ§ΆπͺπΆπ·πͺ¦
Yarn Love 2022 challenge day #25! Flash your stash. I have, for the most part, organized my stash into bins. There are bits in my rolling cart and spread throughout my room, but most is organized into my closet.
Yarn Love 2022 challenge day #24! Wip graveyard. Located in my craft closet are several bins containing my multitude of unfinished crochet projects. π
Yarn Love 2022 challenge day #23! Favorite colors. Blue, blue, and more blue!
Yarn Love 2022 challenge day #22! Wip check. These are my two wips I brought on vacation with me. Needed two so I have a second for when I get bored with the first. The left one will be a baby blanket and the right a small handbag.
Yarn Love 2022 challenge day #21! Craft book library. I don't have a whole lot of craft books, but here is my very unorganized pattern folder.
Yarn Love 2022 challenge day #20! Ideal beverage. My favorite drink is mountain dew, more specifically from taco bell. Sweet and simple.
Yarn Love 2022 challenge day #19! Sunday share. On Friday my husband and I drove 2 hours to LAX and took a 4 hour flight to New Orleans. At the same time, my sister was driving 8 hours from Tennessee to New Orleans to meet us. I hadn't seen her since Christmas and it has been a fun and much needed reunion. π» Here's to the next few weeks we've got together. π»π€£β€βοΈππ§Ά
Yarn Love 2022 challenge day #18! Proudest make. Originally my proudest make was one of my first and largest blankets I've ever made, from caron sprinkle cakes in birthday cake. Now, however, I am absolutely in love with my newest make, my big boy triceratops.
Waiting for our flight at the airport. So of course I pull out the crochet. βοΈβοΈβοΈπ§Άπ§Άπ§Άπ§Ά
Yarn Love 2022 challenge day #17! Furry friends. Here are my 3 babies: Penny, the chiweenie, Einstein, the corgi, and Nasus, the German shepherd.
Yarn Love 2022 challenge day #16! Favorite tool. She may look simple, but this little tool was my most solid investment. My long yarn needle is helpful for all projects from plushies to blankets, I love it.
Yarn Love 2022 challenge day #15! Wip check. After finishing 3 wips last week I decided to start something new. I absolutely love dinosaurs and have been enjoying making this chunky guy immensely. The pattern is from LosPollosPatterns on etsy. It calls for velvet yarn, but I make my plushies out of blanket yarn, so that's what I've done here, hence his size. I have 4 other dino patterns printed and ready when I finish this guy.
Yarn Love 2022 challenge day #14! Field trip. Today my boys and I headed to Hobby Lobby. I went in for something specific and came out with this adorable canvas bag, and some cute cow stuff for my kitchen.
Yarn Love 2022 challenge day #13! Green things. This assortment of green things mostly belong to my eldest son. He's 8 and his favorite color is green so mom has had to make many a green thing for him, including: a large green bear, creeper lovey, and creeper blanket. I also had to include my loki gator.
Yarn Love 2022 Challenge day #12! Sunday share. Today I'm sharing ours bags that I'm working on packing for my trip see to see my sister this Friday. π I'm so excited, and of course needed to pack some yarn so I can crochet on the plane.
Yarn Love 2022 challenge day #11! Non-yarn hobby. Crafts are 2nd to crochet. My current favorite is making disney ears. I also love to read, paint, play video games, and write (currently working on my 1st bullet journal).
Yarn Love 2022 challenge day #9! Favorite designer. My favorite designer is the creator of the 6-day kid blanket, Betty Mcknit. I have used her original 6-day kid blanket pattern, as well as her star and supernova patterns. All are very detailed, easy to follow, and allow for absolutely gorgeous results.
This was from yesterday.
Yarn Love 2022 challenge day #8! Wip check. I had 4 wips, I've finished 2, my baby blanket and bookmark, and have to only put the buttons on this top.
Yarn Love 2022 challenge day #7! Stripes on stripes. For today I present my larksfoot blanket. She's not done, but boy is she beautiful. I'm using caron big cakes in the colorway toffee brickle. The colors remind me of fall, my favorite season.
My work space this evening. My current wip spread out everywhere. My bullet journal and tools stacked to the side. And my folder with all my travel checklists prepped to be used soon. π So much to do, so little time!!!
Yarn Love 2022 challenge day #6! How you learned. About 6 years ago I wanted a crochet beanie. So I sat down, watched several YouTube videos, tried and tried and tried again until I mastered it, and finally made myself that beanie. I am a self-taught crocheter.
Yarn Love 2022 Challenge day #5! Sunday share. For today I wanted to share the 3 most important people in my life.
My sweet husband, who's always believed in me and supported any dreams I've ever had. At my side forever and always.
And my 2 little guys. Both adorable, funny, and, sometimes, real pains in the butt, but I am so lucky to have them.
Yarn Love 2022 Challenge day #4! Show or movie. I am a huge nerd so my MO is typically anything fantasy or sci-fi, but this show has forever been one of my favorites. My husband and I watch it every night when we go to bed and start it over again and again every time it ends.
Yarn Love 2022 Challenge day #3! Recently finished. This top was the last project I actually finished. Pattern is a paid pattern from etsy: the Valerie top by . Turned out so cute.
Yarn Love 2022 Challenge day #2! Favorite yarn. My most favorite yarn of all time is Lionbrands Mandala cakes. With their vibrant colors, soft and flowy fibers, and typically fantasy inspired names, it is a love that shall continue for eternity. I've also used mandala cakes to make some frankencakes.
Yarn Love 2022 challenge day #1! Start your wip. I currently have 4 wips, 3 of which I am trying to finish by mid June. Hopefully this helps keep me accountable.
I've decided this month to participate in the yarn love challenge over on Instagram. Come follow along with me or better yet, if you're a yarn lover, come participate.
