Homework for the evening with my father Finin Liam Christie marking out that last few stays to complete my grandads boiler itll be nice to get my great grandfather james christie 3 1/2 inch gauge coal fired loco that my great grandfather started building in 1939 and he unfortunately got it 99 percent finished but unfortunately he died in 1969 and didnt finish it 100 % but hopefully summer 2024 itll run for the first time on steam as its ran on air but not steam but it will run on steam in 2024

A little update from the last while bits of progress here and there biggest bit of progress is after 60 years me and dad got my great grandfathers 2 1/2 inch meths fired 0.6.0 running again since the late 50s and huge thanks to ben pavier for helping us with it news from this month we had our clubs opening day in marlay park DSMEE on the 1st of October then this Saturday the 7th we have another train event in ballyteague miniature railway then another miniature railway event on the 14th of October and minature train related business travel to the uk on the 3rd of November its great being busy with our projects and club related events etc its a busy few months

Progress on my great grandfathers engine since i received this wonderful piece of my great grandfather james christies history hes the reason why my father and me love steam engines so much cant wait to finish this build of his that begun in 1930s/1940s and sat in an attic from 1969 till 2023

Restoration of my great grandfathers 3 1/2 inch locomotive restored the tender off the engine

New temperature gauge arrived for the derby 4f this hopefully is the finally part to get it running lets get to work

Getting my locos out of the train shed out of hibernation and will be cleaning soon

This is my 3.5 inch which my Great Grandfather James Christie built in the late 30s early 40s in M.G.W.R Broadstone works sadly he didnt get to complete as he sadly died in 1969 he was me and my father inspiration to get into steam trains and he made all the parts just have to be fitted but the chassis is complete unfortunately when he passed the chassis got split from the parts and the boiler and tender but is safe with my great auntie my great grandfathers daughter so hopefully will be Reunited with the rest and hopefully itll be whole finally soon

This is a 5 inch duchess of Sutherland which me and my father are building
