Another day, trying to curb being "home"sick! We headed to the NEW Zoo and Adventure Park where we spent a little time feeling like we were in the Wizarding World, saw Simba and Nala taking a nap, and then took a walk above like we did on the Wild Africa Trek at Animal Kingdom!

It seems that when it comes to cruising, people either love it or have decided they hate it without even trying it. 😂

👋 As Taylor Swift sings, "It's me, hi! I'm the problem, it's me!"

I'm one of those people who didn't think cruising sounded like a good time at all for most of my life. I had been invited by friends a few times and snubbed my nose at the idea. I thought that with my motion sickness issues, I'd find myself miserable the entire trip praying to the toilet gods. I thought I'd find myself bored with nothing to do but watch the water as we floated along. I thought I'd feel crowded and squished in like a can of sardines.

It wasn't until I became a travel agent just over 2 years ago and was going through my Disney Cruise Line training that I was finally intrigued! I vowed that I wanted to be able to give my clients first-hand experience whenever possible, so I booked myself on my very first cruise!

Guess what!!! My preconceived notions were so wrong! I found that I ❤️ cruising!! I didn't find myself praying to the toilet gods even once! We even when we hit some pretty turbulent waters due to a storm. I found there were so many things to do that there wasn't enough time to even get to them all. The cruises were actually very spacious, and I never felt crowded, well except occasionally in the elevators, but you'll find that on land too! I loved waking up every morning with a new port to explore! It was never the same thing. Every day offered something new

I've officially become obsessed with cruising! I got back from that trip and took a deep dive into training and learning about all the different cruise lines! There are so many to choose from, and now I want to try every single one!! Of course, I had to book myself on some more cruises 🤷‍♀️

This is a great question, and my response is that I will always recommend that you book your cruise excursions through the cruise line whenever possible!

If something goes wrong with your excursion that you've booked independently and you're delayed returning to the ship, it could leave without you. This means you will need to figure out how to get back to the ship on your own! 😲 This could mean hundreds and maybe even thousands of dollars spent and way more stress navigating through this scenario!

If you book your excursions through the cruise line, then it guarantees your return to the ship! This means the ship will wait for you, or in rare instances where they are unable to wait, they will arrange transportation for you.

If you do choose to book independently, be sure to give yourself plenty of time to return to the ship! You never know when the unexpected can happen. 😬
