hi, mom.

I can’t really fit everything I ever want to say into one post, though, I’m sure you can obviously hear the thoughts in my head. I’m not sure why it was your time, but as we know everything always happens for a reason, as badly as this one hurts. But you’ve been through so so much, and you absolutely have fought for every little thing you wanted and made sure I was always happy. you succeeded, you always made me happy. We hardly fought, and we understood each other. I know everyone always kind of wanted you to be their mom, and I was lucky enough to be able to have you for 30 years and a few weeks after my 31st birthday. I can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for me, and how important you made me feel, how much you believed in me when I did not believe in myself. How you always knew I was going to do great things. I’m eternally grateful for everything you ever did, or every turn of fate, or even every surprise you gave me. I was truly blessed to get to know you, and be your best friend, and bond; go through concerts with you, get lost on adventures where you said we were just ‘confused’ (we took a wrong turn, and had to keep driving), reminisce on times you had, or made new memories because of things that happened. Thank you for letting me drag you into my fandoms and get sucked into tv shows like succession and from dusk till dawn. I love how we bonded, read each other’s mind, and it was something no one would or could ever break. you are the best mom, you have always been the mom, and the one that everyone deserves to have. I know some people hated our relationship, but I am massively grateful it was ours. I can’t thank you enough for pulling us out of bad situations, and finding good ones, or building on terrible things and making them salvageable. I’m sorry this world was cruel to you. You didn’t deserve any of it, even the things I never knew. Now you have peace, and your body can be better. thank you for showing me how to be brave and how to be a fighter, and I’ll carry you and those lessons with me always. —thank you for always being a light for me. ❤️
