I saw this when I was in Atlanta in summer 2000 (on the WB network, I think) and have been searching for it ever since. It's finally streaming free, on TubiTV.com. There are only two seasons, but it might be a nice binge.

Want to watch a brilliant comedy series? "Third Rock from the Sun" is streaming free on Tubi TV (tubitv.com or its mobile apps) and also Peacock (NBC). The entire cast are comedic geniuses, but John Lithgow is outstanding (despite being a dramatic actor prior to the show).

If you want to know why a gun isn't that effective in a zombie apocalypse, you might get some ideas from "The Dead Don't Die" (2019), currently streaming on Hulu. I never expected a horror film from Jim Jarmusch (writer and director), but here it is -- though it's very light on comedy and dark comedy.

While there's a star-studded cast, it has an odd slice-of-life feel to it that works. This is a very different type of horror movie, with Murray's police chief character being quite reflective and sad in the midst of the undead. You might like it, you might not. I watch somewhere between 100-300 horror films per year, and I'd have to say I "enjoyed" this one.

It stars original SNL cast member Bill Murray (who played a zombie in another movie), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren in Star Wars), Tom Waits, Iggy Pop, Steve Buscemi, Danny Glover, Chloe Sevigny, Rosie Perez, Tilda Swinton, Carol Kane, Selena Gomez, RZA (Wu-Tang Clan, Californication), and more. Sturgill Simpson, whose country music song "The Dead Don't Die" is used at least twice in the soundtrack, also makes an appearance as a guitar-playing zombie.

There's not much else to say about this movie in a short review, other than it's about how a town copes with a zombie outbreak. Whether you're a horror fan or not, give it a stream and find out. Did you already see it? What did you think?

Dunmanor in Ireland is a retirement home, but not your average one. It's exclusively for aged superheroes. "Supervized" sounds like it might be a fun movie, right? Especially when the human-torch like dude in a wheelchair farts fire and it propels him forward. Unfortunately, that's the funniest scene in the movie, which oddly tries to be serious for the rest of the film's duration. The residents are in danger, but from whom, and why?

If you want to know, you can find Supervized (2019) streaming on Hulu at the moment. It stars Tom Berenger, Beau Bridges, Louis Gossett, Jr., but it might as well have starred complete unknowns. The opportunity for a fun movie was squandered, aside from a few odd bits that stand out like a sore thumb.

If you and liked the comedy horror Shaun of the Dead (2004, with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost), you might like Hot Fuzz (2007, with Pegg and Frost, and appearances by Stephen Merchant, Martin Freeman, and Bill Bailey). Hot Fuzz is currently streaming on Hulu.

Merchant had his own show "Hello Ladies" on American cable (and the final season was turned into a movie. Martin Freeman was Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit movies. Bill Bailey is a talented actor/ musical comedian (search for him on YouTube) who appeared in one of my fave British comedies "Black Books" (which I think was/ is on Hulu). Pegg of course plays Scotty in the most recent Star Trek movies (with a new untitled Star Trek announced).

In the weeks that we've put into this graphic, a sad event occurred -- that of the passing of Katherine Johnson at age 101, near the end of February. Taraji portrayed Johnson in the 2016 movie "Hidden Figures," about several African-American women (mathematicians, computer programmers) who contributed significantly to NASA's space program and for a long time did not get the recognition that they deserved.
