Happy Father’s Day to Joel!! Aka my children’s biological father, baby daddy, dada, dad, daddy, father.. but for real, the guy we are lucky to have as our very own.

I’ve been thru my own ups and downs with my dad(s) in my life and when I was praying so hard for a family I just wanted someone who wanted to be there.

You always want to be here, with us, playing sports, styling them, chatting, cuddling..

These things are so simple you know - they have nothing to do with money or anything big. It’s just you giving them your attention and doing your best to provide a better life for us.

This is the kind of stuff you can only hope for and we got it.

Plus you’re so patient, willing to learn, loving and proud.

I can see how proud you are of them just as they are.

You don’t have to do all that.

But you do. And we love and appreciate you so greatly for it.

From the bottom of my child like heart and the kids.. if you asked us how much we love you? We’d say “too much!” 😘

Of all the titles I get, mom is my favorite one.

Grit is my new favorite word. The passion to keep going no matter what.

Thank you magazine for featuring my daily mantra that I’ve been reciting to myself daily!! Since the twins joined our family, I had to fix my mindset as to how I’d ever be able to move forward in all capacity.

I’ve been blogging for 5 years and I am nowhere near where some of my other fellow bloggers are but I am still here. Did you hear? I am still here.

I have the grit to keep going. I have the grit to find a way. I have the grit to figure things out in order to inch forward towards my goals.

Even here at my kid’s soccer game, I see her score a goal after showing up for practice after long days at school. I see her push thru and come out smiling. Her goals prove hard work. She’s my hero. My kids and family are my hero. My support system are my heroes.

I may not be the most glamorous blogger or consistent one but I am here constantly reminding you to live for more. Live for better. Ask for more. Ask for better. Power purchase with intention and power purchase to change the world.

And to most of all, only live for today. That’s how I survive. I only have energy for right now. If I am focusing on so many other things like even tomorrow when it’s not even here yet, I am distracted and not in the moment.

I made a deal with myself that if I can’t remember everything then at least I am present and can FEEL the moment. You can only do that if you’re living for right here, right now. Today.

This is me right now. Really underwhelmed with my fashion posing with 5 distracted children. 2 other adults. And all this stuff we absolutely need.

It’s far too easy to be envious of women I see flying solo, fashionably and with ease but I know that can’t be me right now.

My time is to do God’s work and parent hard. I know my kids will always need me in some way but now seems more precious than ever. The tender years if you will. Does anyone else feel that way too?

For ex: Instead of rushing thru the airport, I’m taking the time to explain why things are the way they are and how to navigate. Like stopping to read the flight board or explaining to them why we have to go thru TSA. Even how to socialize with strangers politely.

Every time there’s a learning moment, I am delighted to capture it and teach my kids! I feel there’s so much to have to figure out on your own already that I am more than happy to explain what I can when I can for them.

I had to capture this sight for sore eyes to lighten the moment - to know that I won’t always have this load. I am proud that we can travel as a group. We make it work. We encourage team work and we work thru the really rough emotional meltdowns. We’re all at our wits end but man, does it warm your heart when a stranger asks to help you. Really makes me feel like we aren’t alone. People see us and always try to help us in so many ways. I’m so grateful for that and for strangers’ encouraging words and help.. I’ll never forget it.

So to the mama that feels like this too (you know the heavy load you’re dragging thru a public airport) … someone is waiting to help you. Someone is impressed by your strength. Someone is excited to sit next to you and your kids on the flight.
You’re not alone. You can manage even when it feels like a spectacle..

And I promise your final destination will await you and it will be glorious ❤️

I can’t stress enough how important it is to date your kids one on one. And they don’t have to be for a whole evening either. Let me explain..

We were standing in line for Santa pictures with our crew at and saw a store that my daughter has grown to love and begged to go in. I clearly could not resist as I love myself!

So, we stole a moment together. Just she and I went in and shopped our 💜 out together! I got to see what she’s into and what she likes. Her birthday is coming up and I think I’ll bring her back here for a shopping spree! 🤫

My love began for this place myself as a teeny bopper heading to the shopping center with my friends and grabbing a coffee while hitting up the 10 for $10 sale. I would fill my basket with all the goodies and could not wait to run home and style them. Now as an adult, I still check their stuff out for unique pieces!

For me, this hits two birds with one stone, because I get to bond with my daughter in that moment and revisit a blast from the past.
