Jelly Belle
I make things from Paper and Resin, sometimes together....but not often; more like how often you see that estranged aunt.
This is the "incomplete set" drawer. Some of the dice from these sets didn't turn out so can't be sold as such. But for the Ren Faire they will go in a Mystery Box and you can draw out a random homemade die for $2!
What do you do when you need some fey models for your product? You contact your local mermaid pod! Spokane Merfolk were lovely and let me come to an event to borrow their lovely merfolk!
Even cats can't resist the clickity-clack math rocks!
Some new dice!
I always thought I was the neat and tidy creative type.... Turns out I'm just a creative type. If anyone can find my coffee mug let me know, it's going to get cold soon.
Sometimes I think it's a shame I have to color in the numbers.
Sometimes when friends come over I cajole them into a part-time (unpaid) modeling career. This week I'm working on my Ren Faire fey "humanly sourced" earcuffs.
The price of dice are in the material cost but mostly it's the time and effort that goes into polishing. This is polishing five sides of a d10.
These Lilac and Silver dice came out with a small depression on the D6, which while usually not an issue means I couldn't sell them to a shop. If you would like slightly depressed but pretty dice this set is only $10! (plus shipping if it's being shipped) a $30 discount.
Just finished some dice sets for Bear Totem Spokane! They're always worth a visit!
Success Rate.
Sometimes it takes a while for me to figure out how to get dice without going holes in them especially because my favorite dice have stuff inside them, stuff likes to bring air bubbles in. This is my three attempts at moss dice and the ones that are usable.
Anyone have ideas for uses for dice with craters in them?
Haste dice. Made with coffee beans and silver flakes.
Pathfinding Dice.
Barkskin dice, made with moss, plants and bark from forests here in the northwest.
Some of my favorite dice. Water breathing. Made with small iridescent fish (plastic ones).
Made for one of my players, Gentle Repose. Made with dried lavender and sparkles.
Over the past year I've been doing a lot of changes with my business. I've been doing more resin and realizing that quilling is more of a Christmas craft instead of a year-round one. For those who join my page for my quilling. (Rest assured, I will still have it available during Christmas time) But because I'm expanding my art to beyond just quilling, I thought it was time for a name change as it was a strange card to give it out while handing people resin dice. So I have decided to change the name of my business to Jelly Belle.
I love Jellyfish, I think they show the great creativity of the Creator and His artistic nature that all artists strive to imitate. I'll be posting more of my other art here and make it available for purchase. Thanks so much for all the support so far. You guys have been great!
Ready to celebrate?
Check out more pop culture 'holidays' at the link in the comments!
Almost everything in the frame is used for the process of refining the dice that come out of the molds I have. From sanding, to polishing, to painting, to the finished project to the coffee that keeps it all going
When there's blowing snow you improvise. Thanks to my booth mate The Crystal Owl , we made it work.
King of the Koopas!
To everyone else tasked with setting up the tree and lights this year, cheers to you. Remember the rules of the set up:
1. No matter how many you had last year, how many you buy this year beforehand, you will always be one working strand of lights short, just plan for that trip ahead of time.
2. If someone tries to help you, they will end up in your way, spinning the tree the wrong way or pulling the lights too tight and interrupting your flow. Best to just send them out for eggnog and rum before someone gets a ornament hook "accidentally" in their nose.
3. You need the right Christmas music to motivate you. If you aren't play TSO's Carol of the Bells at least once, you're doing it wrong.
4. wear long sleeves to keep the real or fake prickles away or you will end up with tiny scars that everyone asks you about and you're too embarrassed to tell the truth so you weave a lie about a piranha attack inn which you saved a baby and two old ladies and now you need a Brazilian stamp in your passport to cover your tracks.
5. Don't worry about that one slightly off colored string, no one is going to notice but you, especially if you sent someone out for eggnog and rum.
6. If you need some extra classiness to your tree you know where to get handmade paper ornaments!
Merry Christmas my fellow lighters, good luck!
You know when you have a sneaking suspicion that you forgot something? I would be lighting up a rememberall the time. This time it was an extra craft fair I still have! It's the Winterfest in Post Falls or as I call it, Freeze Your Butt Off fair.
December 1st! Bundle up and enjoy hot cocoa, choir, dancers, Santa's work shop and a variety of frozen vendors with their craft booths, gave patience with us if we move slowly, we can't feel our toes.
The 2023 Craft Season is over but the holiday season is just beginning! Now you can purchase Quilled Ornaments, snowmen, wall art, checkers, chess and more! With each order you get a mystery ornament from my $5 pile.
I always end up doing one more piece before fairs because I'm nervous I don't have enough stock. So I made a druid class inspired d20
Ya haha! You found me! Some koroks for the Post Falls summer craft fair. Hopefully the people walking around can find them, maybe I should set up a balloon for them to pop.
Did your barbarian fail to open the castle door? Can your wizard not decipher that ancient text? Does the party always look at you in suspicion when it's time for a group stealth check?
Then you need a lucky rolling tray! Featuring a genuine four leaf clover from the exotic location of my backyard!
Going on sale at the Post Falls Craft fair next month!
I'll be selling my framed quilling pieces but am expanding to resin works as well for the Summer!
For the past two years I've been playing around with resin. I'm finally out of level I feel comfortable selling them to people. At my next craft fair I'm going to be selling some chess and checker sets.
Each checker set comes with a box that has the two different colors in it.
This one I wanted to do a more horticultural theme. And I had to do something with all the dandelions in my yard!
