Brad's Gift

Brad's Gift

I am asking you to think about others !

19/11/2021

Oh brother do I miss you

02/10/2021

You have been on my mind a lot lately I miss you

02/07/2021

Tell me, what does it look like in heaven?
Is it peaceful? Is it free like they say?
Does the sun shine bright forever?
Have your fears and your pain gone away?
'Cause here on Earth it feels like everything
Good is missing since you left
And here on Earth, everything's different
There's an emptiness
Oh-oh, I
I hope you're dancing in the sky
And I hope you're singing in the angel's choir
And I hope the angels know what they have
I'll bet it's so nice up in Heaven since you arrived
So tell me, what do you do up in Heaven?
Are your days filled with love and light?
Is there music? Is there art and adventure?
Tell me are you happy? Are you more alive?
'Cause here on Earth it feels like everything
Good is missing since you left
And here on Earth everything's different
There's an emptiness
Oh-oh, I
I hope you're dancing in the sky
And I hope you're singing in the angel's choir
And I hope the angels know what they have
I'll bet it's so nice up in Heaven since you arrived
Since you arrived
Oh, oh
(What does it look like in heaven?) Yeah, yeah
Oh, oh, oh-oh
Oh-oh, oh
Oh, oh, I
I hope you're dancing in the sky
And I hope you're singing in the angel's choir
And I hope the angels know what they have
I'll bet it's so nice up in Heaven since you arrived
Since you arrived

Now we know for sure. Bradley Martin Fulkerson passed away January 9, 2020 . Cause of death Environmental exposure. As his family we must come to terms with that. As a society we should be outraged. No matter what you think of homeless people. No one deserves to freeze to death. No matter what a person has done or what life they have chosen to lead they have a right to live. We have laws that prevent animals from freezing to death with the threat of a felony conviction, But people are allowed to freeze. There's something wrong with that. so ask my friends I am asking you to remember Brad's gift. Asking you as my friends then my family to honor my brother's memory. To make the sacrifice of his life to bring meaning. When you see someone that is homeless or if you are donating clothing camping, supplies, blankets or any other such items like shoes. included no with a donation or in person to a homeless person and tell them this is Brad's gift .soon I will be writing a short bio of Brad's gift for people to print out and include with their donations if you would please I would greatly appreciate it I would like to see Brad's gift grow and my brother's story be told all over the world.

Brad's Gift

I realize that many people have been swindled by homeless people. I realize they are not pleasant to smell, to look at, or to be near. I understand when most people walk by a homeless person and pretend that they don't see them. Unfortunately one of those homeless people was my brother. He chose to live his life on his own terms. Brad never asked for anyone's blessing, permission or apologized for his decisions. He was not a homeless people that would beg you for money. He didn't sit on the corner with a sign and a cup. My brother never stood by Walmart asking for cash. He didn't rob people or steal out of cars.
He would on occasion collect soda cans and turn them in for deposit. He did go to soup kitchens to eat. He did own a tent. He slept in the woods in Barnstable, Massachusetts.
On January 9,2020 my brother took his last breath in the woods. To all reports and from what I am able to understand that he had a very bad seizure. Followed by a stroke and he froze to death. Outside in temperatures between 4 and 10 degrees. he was not alone. There was a woman with him. She was his friend. Her name is Karen. Karen has been homeless approximately 14 years waiting for a housing voucher. She is a retired park ranger who cannot afford to live on her on her retirement. In 2019 35 homeless people died in that area most of them from the cold.
So next time when you walk by a homeless person. If you are in public and you see someone that you believe is homeless. Instead of passing judgment. Please don't pass them feeling disgusted. Instead remember my brother. Maybe offer to buy them a cup of coffee or a sandwich. If you have clothes, camping supplies or blankets you are going to give away. Give them to someone who is homeless and tell him it's from Brad. Remember everyone has a story and everyone has someone who loves them.
This is my project. In memory of my brother Bradley. Something I think would make him smile and capture part of who he was.
I love you Brad and will miss you always.
Love,
The Kid!!!
