Yusuf (peace be upon him) was wronged terribly at the hands of resentment and jealousy. Schemed against, catapulted into a well, captured by traders, jailed unjustly and torn apart from his father for years. Yet he chose to seek forgiveness for his brothers. And Allah forgave.

The story of Yusuf alayhissalam demonstrates the limitless capacity of Allah's forgiveness.

Our sins may be of a tremendous magnitude but Allah's capacity to forgive is unparalleled particularly in a month gift wrapped with forgiveness for its repenting recipients.

Ramadhan is a month which begins with mercy, it's middle is forgiveness and it's end is emancipation from the Hellfire.

These elements are not unconnected.

It is Allah's untold mercy that brings His forgiveness and His forgiveness that warrants protection from the Hellfire.

So hold your arms wide open and take the ticket to forgiveness when it arrives on your doorstep.

"Oh Allah, you are Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me.

On the day of Judgement won’t be quantified, rather they will be weighed.

A person could bring forward 1000 good deeds whilst another brings forwards 1 good deed.

The sincerity in the one good deed far outweighed the 1000 good deeds on the Mizaan (scale).

The other 1000 good deeds could have been tainted with seeking any pleasure other than Allah.

Therefore, take comfort in the words of Rasulullah,

"Do not belittle any good deed, even meeting your brother (Muslim) with a cheerful face".

It’s not about the quantity, it’s the quality 🤍

May Allah grant us countless opportunities to perform small but weighty good deeds. Ameen

How? By entering prepared and ready for its arrival.

With the blessed month of Ramadhan right around the corner here are a few simple steps you can start making now:

1. Turn to Allah. We needn’t wait until Ramadhan to return to our Rab. To obey Him. To Worship Him. We can’t guarantee we will even make Ramadhan. So the change, we make now.

2. Reaffirm your relationship with the noble Quran. Everyone has a different journey. It could mean polishing your tajweed, revising surahs or understanding commonly prayed surahs.

3. Set aside change to make it an easy reminder to give sadaqah daily. Kids love this one

4. Intentions and duaas. Do you ever enter a valuable precious moment and feel blank - what dua shall i make. Where do i start? Having it ready helps a lot. You can pray the masnun duas that our beloved asked for and also include your own personal needs.

5. Declutter those areas we use often so time can be optimised in ibaadah.

6. Meal plan. A little prepared from beforehand can take away from the mental exhaustion that can often come with meal prep!

7. If you are user to intaking caffeine, reduce now to help ward off those migraines.

8. Prepare for Eid before Ramadhan early so the final blessed nights can be optimised in worship.

May we all fully reap the rewards of this special month no matter what season of life we are currently in.

It’s Friday. There is an hour of acceptance. Say Ameen 🤍

“On Friday there is an hour when, if a Muslim happens to pray at that time and ask Allah for something good, He will give it to him.” Bukhari

The words of Allah truly bring us solace and comfort. As they did for those before us and will continue to for mankind until Qiyaamah.

This happened before.

Seeing the people of Gaza leave their loved and cherished homes takes us back 1440 years

When the beloved of Allah ﷺ himself was a target for assassination.

The believers too were oppressed and persecuted.

Madeenah offered them the shade they needed to live and believe.

But Makkah was sacred. Prophet Ibrahim alayhissalam had laid the foundation here.

It was his ﷺ ‘s

birthplace, his home with his mother, his grandfather, his uncle and dear Khadeejah.

But for the sake of Islam, he migrated.

As he reached the outskirts he (saw)
said,
“By Allah, you are the best and most beloved land to Allah. Had I not been driven away from you, I would not have left you.”

May Allah continue to reward the ummah for the immense sacrifices they make. We pray they are able to return safely and soon to their rightful homes.

O Allah, help and protect the people of Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan, Uyghur, Congo and wherever anyone is facing oppression.

O Allah, ease their pain and suffering.

O Allah, fortify their hearts and calm them like you granted Yusuf’s heart peace in the well.

O Allah, Bestower of Mercy, bestow Your mercy on them.

O Allah, You are the Giver of victory, O Al-Fattah, You are the Opener of doors, please grant them freedom and victory.
