- The Los Banos Animal Shelter is at capacity and having trouble finding rescue or adoption for friendly kittens - let alone spicy ones! We are looking for RESCUE or SOCIALIZATION FOSTERS to see if these guys can become adoptable - otherwise they are slated for TNR.

Let us know if you are interested in helping! There are a total of 4 groups, 13 total (two not pictured):

TNR once 2lbs:
- Single ~7-8 week old
- Litter of 4 ~6 week olds (black and tabby)

TNR this week:
- Litter of 3 ~12 week olds (tabby and orange)
- Litter of 4 ~14 week olds (dilute torties and gray tabby) - already on behavioral hold - able to pet but skittish

I am looking for a temporary foster home for a litter of five tuxedo kittens!

They are going up for adoption tomorrow, but due to severe health issues, their foster is no longer able to care for them. I am desperately out of space and need a place for at least some of them to land for a few weeks.

They are all wearing tuxedos so their names are Ralph Lauren, Chanel, Burberry, Armani, and Louis Vuitton 😆 Everyone is healthy and socialized.

OUCH!! 😱
Update on our girl Pearl - she isn't quite sure yet about being in foster care, but unfortunately, she has a broken femur! She is on pain meds, but we are looking for an orthopedic surgeon to see if she might be a candidate for pins...but she will mostly need to have it amputated.
Our last amputation ran us $1,300 - bringing Pearl's total to just under $2,000 - before counting her recovery costs 🥺
Please help us support Pearl and get her the surgery she needs. All donations are tax-deductible!
Not a fan of donating on facebook? You can donate via our website: https://www.ffnc.live/donate/ or help pay our balance directly at VCA San Martin! Once we have secured a clinic for her amputation, we will post that as well if you would like to donate towards our balance directly.
Not comfortable sending cash? Support us by buying a bag of kibble, a case of wet food, or a soft bed just for Pearl on our Amazon or Chewy Wishlists https://www.ffnc.live/donate/

Yesterday we got a call from our neighboring vet clinic that a feral cat had escaped into the ceiling! 🫣 We rushed over and set up traps, cameras, and sweeped the place with a thermal cam but there was no sight of him. With the layout of the hospital he had access to the full length of the building as well as the attic - hundreds of potential hiding places!

We went back today and did another full sweep, and placed several more traps, but we realized it could take days or more to catch him - we just hoped for a sign he was still in the building and hadn’t escaped through a small hole or vent.

Just as we were getting ready to leave we decided to place one more trap in a small back room. We noticed a ceiling tile had fallen and so we did another sweep of the room….and behind the very last little box in a cabinet we found Carmichael 🥰

He might not look super happy about it but Rally earned his today!! He’s fully recovered from his leg amputation and on his way to to live out his days in their .

We were hoping he would decide to be friendly and adoptable but Rally has a strong sense of feral independence and stayed spicy 🌶️ till the end - frequently hissing and spitting when we gave him his breakfast 🥰

Relocating feral cats is usually a last resort but for disabled cats like Rally, it is best to not return them to the streets where they would be at a disadvantage- especially as a white cat as they are more prone to developing squamous cell carcinoma.

Happy tails, Rally! We will miss you ❤️❤️

Excited to announce our first partnership event with the Los Banos Animal Shelter - a free microchip clinic!

🐾 Exciting News for Pet Owners in Los Banos! 🐾

We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting a FREE microchip clinic on April 6th from 9am to 12pm at the Los Banos Community Center. The best part? It will be drive-through style, so you can get your furry friends microchipped without even leaving your car!

A big thank you to Feral Freedom and UC Davis for their help in making this event possible and helping us keep our pets safe and secure. Microchipping is a vital part of pet ownership and can greatly increase the chances of reuniting with a lost pet.

Mark your calendars and spread the word! Let's ensure the safety of our beloved pets together. See you on April 6th at the community center! 🐶🐱🚗

Rally is on his way home from the vet! That awful leg is gone, he’s neutered, vaccinated, deflea-ed and on his way to recovery and hopefully a pain free life going forward 🙏🙏❤️❤️

*Warning, second photo shows injury* After a long-standing agreement with the Los Banos public to help an injured kitty if someone could trap him…we finally have him! Nicknamed Rally as he has lived behind Rally’s for several years, he will FINALLY be getting his leg amputated after months (possibly years according to some reports) of having exposed muscle and bone 😩 He is scheduled for surgery this Wednesday and is estimated to cost $1,500 - if you would like to help cover the cost of his care please considering donating at https://ffnc.live/donate 🙏
