I won the virtual pageant, so I don't have a crowing moment. However, I was so excited when I found out I won and received my crown and sash.

BAAM is volunteering at First Baptist Church Alabaster (food pantry) 903 3rd Avenue NW today from 11-1. Anyone available please come and help!

Today is Kindness act

I try to be kind daily. Yesterday, I was able to make a little girl smile after a pageant. She was sad that she didn't get the crown but I let her know she was beautiful and did a really great job.

I believe that being kind to others will open doors and create opportunities to get to know other people.

Day 7 Volunteer photos

I started volunteering at a young age because I would get sad whenever I saw a homeless person. I wanted to take care of them. With BAAM and the support of friends, family, neighbors and the kindness of strangers, I've been able to do just that.

My favorite pet/animal is my Yorkie, Jonas. I got him when I was 8 years old and he was only 8 weeks old. I named him after the Jonas brothers.

He just turned 6 years old on March 15th. This was his birthday photo. ❤❤

My favorite hobbies, besides competing in pageants, are community service involvement, reading suspense novels, playing Sims 4 and playing soccer.

My mom and step-dad, siblings, Grandparents and cousins usually always take trips together every summer.

My favorite vacation was when my family went to Las Vegas for one of our annual vacations. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had and I've been to Disney World!

Hi everyone! My name is A'Shya Brown and I am your Miss AMM Yellow Hammer Jr. Teen. I am from the great state of Alabama. I love AMM because I love what it stands for and all of the people behind it. My platform is BAAM! I originally started my platform as Shya's Bags of Blessings. I invited my friends and brother to help. I then asked them to join me and created BAAM; it stands for Braylon, A'Shya, Allie and Mackenzie. Our motto is we are "Superheroes for the homeless". We hope to make the world a better place.

I enjoy pageantry because it has helped me grow as a person but also because I get to meet so many intelligent and inspirational girls.

Outside of community involvement and competing in pageants, I love playing soccer, running track and bike riding with my family.

I can't wait to meet everyone. I am so excited!

BAAM has raised $500 to date to help the homeless! We have also received water and non-perishable food items.

We will use the money as planned for water for the homeless as well as good

We will also donate food items to local food pantries!

On June 12, the Miss Alabaster pageant will be held at Thompson Middle School. The Miss Alabaster pageant is also helping us raise money and/or take in non-perishable food items and water! We are so excited!
