In an effort to raise awareness and promote preparedness for potential earthquakes, San Pascual Senior High School 2, in collaboration with the SDRRM Club, conducted its 2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on June 8, 2023.

Furthermore, we provided additional information to our students by organizing an informative video session on what to do before, during, and after an earthquake. The activity was successfully and peacefully conducted with the assistance of our Club Adviser, Sir Alfredo Sevilla, and the leadership of our President, Neslee Del Mundo, and its officers.

With the NSED as a catalyst, San Pascual Senior High School 2 continues to prioritize safety and preparedness, working towards building a resilient future. The success of this event serves as a testament to the power of collaboration and the dedication of individuals in creating a secure environment.

TAAL VOLCANO VOG ADVISORY 🌋

Naglabas ng abiso ang Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology ukol sa pagbubuga ng Taal Volcano ng mataas na lebel ng sulfur dioxide (SO2) na nagdudulot ng volcanic smog o vog.

Ayon sa Phivolcs, simula 10:30 ng gabi ng 3 Hunyo 2023, nagkaroon ng pagsigabo ng pagbuga ng gas mula sa Bulkang Taal kaakibat ng upwelling sa lawa ng Main Crater na lumikha ng makapal na steam-rich plume na tumayog hanggang 3,000 metro mula sa Taal Volcano Island o TVI.

Nagbuga ang Taal Main Crater ng 5,831 tonelada kada araw na volcanic sulfur dioxide o SO2 gas noong 1 Hunyo 2023, mas mataas sa average na 3,556 tonelada kada araw nitong nakalipas na buwan.

Ito ay lumikha ng volcanic smog o vog sa kapaligiran ng bulkan na naiulat sa mga bayan ng Balete, Laurel at Agoncillo, Batangas.

Mapanganib ang volcanic smog sa may mga kondisyon sa kalusugan tulad ng hika, sakit sa baga, sakit sa puso, matatanda, mga buntis at mga bata.

Kaya naman narito ang mga dapat gawin, ayon sa Phivolcs.

According to DOST-PAGASA forecast, super typhoon 'Mawar' will reach its peak intensity within 24 hours. However, the super typhoon will slightly weaken by Saturday and remain until Sunday or late Monday or Tuesday.

As per the most recent forecast, the typhoon may bring heavy rains to Northern Luzon starting late Sunday or on Monday of next week, which could cause flooding or rain-induced landslides. Strong to storm-force conditions could also develop over Extreme Northern Luzon, while strong to gale-force conditions could develop over the northern and eastern reaches of the Northern Luzon mainland.

SALBA: SAving Lives by Basic training & Awareness

As participation of San Pascual Senior Highschool 2 students leader of Interact and SDDRM Officers and Adviser, as the Rotaract Club of San Pascual, celebrates its 7th Charter Anniversary with the theme "SYETE: Seven Years of Excellence, Transformation & Empowerment" that hold a project SALBA: SAving Lives by Basic training & Awareness which was held today, March 25, 2023, at San Pascual Municipal Covered Court. The project was carried out in collaboration with the San Pascual Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO), and with the student leaders from all San Pascual District Junior and Senior High Schools.

The project offered different First aiding and Basic Life Support methods as well as provide an opportunity for the participants to experience the actual ex*****on of the steps and procedures of the course.

We would like to thank the Rotaract Club of San Pascual for welcoming and inviting us! We are so glad to be part of your project!
