Igniting change, inspiring hope! 🔥 Zonta Makati Paseo de Roxas installed new officers & directors and welcomed new members last August 9, 2024 at North Forbes Pavilion, Makati. A night of empowerment and celebration!
The final general membership meeting for the 2022 to 2024 term was held at the Baguio Country Club. The meeting included reports from various committees and the presentation of the Biennium Report 2022-2024 by President Moleen Del Rosario. This event marked the conclusion of a productive term and set the stage for future initiatives.
During the Baguio Summer Trip, Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas made a courtesy call to Mayor Benjamin Magalong, introducing our club and discussing potential collaborative efforts with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Baguio City for awareness of the needs and challenges that women and girls face. This visit highlighted our commitment in promoting our campaign to build a better world for women and girls through building strong community relationships.
In celebration of Mother's Day, Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas organised our 2nd Breastfeeding And Newborn Care Seminar for mothers together with BATA Foundation. Also, in collaboration with ARMSCOR Philippines, a free medical and dental service for the residents of Brgy. Fortune in Marikina City were conducted, ensuring they received essential health services.
Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas organised and hosted a wine pairing fellowship event as a prelude to the final general membership meeting for the 2022 to 2024 term. This event allowed members to socialize and enjoy fine wines, setting a relaxed mood for the upcoming formal meeting.
Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas kicked off the summer with an energetic Zumba activity at Fisher Mall Malabon which is for the benefit of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Malabon City. This event promoted health and wellness while providing a fun fitness and engaging exercise experience.
Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas, together with sister club Zonta Club Makati Central Business District, organised a tree planting project in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Golden Z STI, and the Brgy. San Miguel LGU of Lobo, Batangas. This initiative emphasized the importance of caring for our environment.
To support Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas fundraising efforts, a silent auction of pre-owned home and kitchen essentials was conducted during the general membership meeting at Brewing Point, Fisher Parkway, QC. This event not only raised funds but also fostered camaraderie among members.
On April 20, 2024, as part of celebration of Earth Day, Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas conducted a bloodletting event at Fisher Mall Malabon in collaboration with the Zonta Club of Makati Central Business District. Police officers, soldiers, and firefighters were the primary donors, showcasing their commitment to saving lives.
Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas participated in a summer bazaar at the Makati Garden Club which featured a variety of goods and crafts, providing a wonderful opportunity for fundraising and community engagement.
To raise awareness and prepare for fire emergencies, Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas conducted a Fire Safety Camp for the children from BATA Foundation Inc., in collaboration with the Bureau of Fire Protection of Marikina City. This event, part of Fire Prevention Month, included educational activities and the distribution of gifts and groceries to the residents of Brgy. Fortune, Marikina City, in partnership with ARMSCOR Philippines.
The fellowship night of Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas was held at the newly opened Brewing Point Music Lounge at Fisher Parkway in the Fisher Mall Quezon Avenue branch. The event featured a performance by the Something Special Band, providing an evening of entertainment and camaraderie.
Continuing the blood donation projects with the Philippine Red Cross, we visited STI College in Pasay on March 15, 2024, in partnership with Rotary Clubs of District 3810, Manila Premier, Manila Supreme 198, and the Rotaract Club of STI. This project supported the critical need for blood donations.
Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas strengthened the partnership with the Zonta Club of Makati Central Business District through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing. This agreement aims to foster collaboration and reinforce the spirit of Zonta.
In conjunction with the election of new officers, Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas honored the long-serving members for their outstanding years of service, dedication, and commitment to building a better world for women and children. Their contributions have been invaluable to our mission.
After the visit to the Mangyans, Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas held our general membership meeting and conducted the election of new officers for the 2024 to 2026 term. This meeting was crucial for planning our future initiatives and ensuring effective leadership.
As part of the outreach program at Sitio Danlog, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, members of the Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas, Zonta Club Makati Central Business District, Rotary Club of San Jose and DEPED-ALS, taught the Mangyan children native Filipino games for the enrichment of the Filipino culture.
As part of the outreach program in Sitio Danlog, the Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas donated two Jettmatic water pumps, water gallons, and flashlights as part of our "Watering and Lighting" project. This initiative was conducted in partnership with the Zonta Club of Makati Central Business District and District 3810 Rotary Club of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, to improve access to clean water and lighting for the community.
The Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas donated hygiene kits, school supplies, toys and snacks to the children of the Mangyan community in Sitio Danlog, Brgy. Monteclaro, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro in collaboration with the Zonta Club of Makati Central Business District and DEPED-ALS. This project aimed to support the health and education of these children.
In celebration of Women’s Month and Yellow Rose Day, the Zonta Club of Makati Paseo De Roxas and the Zonta Club of Makati Central Business District honored four Mangyan teachers for their passion and dedication in educating Mangyan children in various schools in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.
The Zonta Club of Makati Paseo de Roxas went to San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, to conduct an outreach program for the Mangyan community. The outreach program was conducted in partnership with the Zonta Club of Makati Central Business District, the Department of Education Alternative Learning Service (DEPED-ALS) - Division of Occidental Mindoro, and the Rotary Club of San Jose. This marks a significant milestone in our efforts to extend support to underserved communities. This is the first time ever that Zontians were able to reach the Mangyan Community in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.
In collaboration with the Circulo Lady Eagles Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Southern Tagalog, the Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas and Zonta Club Makati Central Business District visited Brgy. San Luis in Antipolo City to distribute Christmas gift packages and snacks to the children in the community. This event was part of the Pamaskong Handog 2023 and Zonta Child Shoebox Project initiative, bringing joy and support to the community's youngest members.
In the spirit of giving, the Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas partnered with Our Lady of Sacred Heart Parish to provide lunch meals and grocery packages to the residents of Brgy. Holy Spirit. There was also some talks on the Zonta Says No To Violence Against Women and Children Campaign. This initiative was part of Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas's Christmas activities aimed at supporting the local community.
To end the year 2023, the Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas held a Christmas party at Dean and Deluca. The event featured a silent auction of pre-owned jewelry and accessories as fund raising for future projects, providing a festive and charitable way to celebrate the holiday season.
As part of the Christmas activities, the Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas conducted a Thyromobile Medical Mission in partnership with Salinas, Iodine Global Network, and the City of Malabon. The mission emphasized the importance of iodine in the diet especially for pregnant women and its effects to the unborn child; aside from educating participants in the recognition of thyroid problems. Free blood and thyroid check-ups were provided.
The Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas provided snacks for the participants of the bloodletting project held at City of Malabon University. This initiative was aimed at encouraging youth participation in life-saving activities.
The Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas held its annual gift-giving and feeding program for mothers and children at the Villa España Subdivision. Families received grocery items, home essentials, and toys for the kids. Additionally, some club members donated vitamins and medicines to support the community's health.
The Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas, together with other Zontians, gathered at the Alabang Town Center, for the kick off of the 16 Days of Activism, an annual campaign against violence against women and children.
In honor of Filipino culture, Zonta Club Makati Paseo De Roxas held the general membership meeting with a Chic Filipiniana motif. In the meeting, discussed were the income generated during the Plant, House and Garden Sale Bazaar and future projects. Filipino food and delicacies from various restaurants in Malabon were served during the said activity.
