In 2022, full arch surgeons and authors of the PATZI Protocol and .g.dmd.omfs set out to test the PATZI Protocol in the form of prosthetic arch length and cantilever length 🤔 As we all know, “It ain’t full arch if it ain’t full arch” 🤓Accountability and evaluation of both surgical and prosthetic outcomes is key to continuous improvement for our patient’s functional and esthetic success 👌🙌

The data showed 142 maxillary full arch rehabilitation surgeries performed 💉 Of those 142 arches, 9 had final restorations designed to incorporate a distal cantilever and/or a design of 12 teeth or less (Cantilevered aches) ❌ While the remaining 133 arches were restored with 12 teeth or more, and with zero cantilever ✅ This demonstrated a Full Arch Ratio (FAR of 94%), and a 100% immediate load rate 🤗Although this is an initial case series, it demonstrates the early success of following a full arch protocol that incorporates optimal prosthetic outcomes with arch length in mind 🔩🔧
