MARGATE Excited news and changes coming up from March to my working calendar.
As from the 7th March I’ll be working every Thursday in the Amazing new Salon Marcella in my beloved Margate.
My passion for working in the creative capital Margate has been burning inside of me for me for over 10 years now.
The time has come as I’ll be joining forces with an amazing group of individuals.
This opportunity will allow me to work alongside those a good friend and incredible talent and all round top geezer that I educated alongside at Wella years ago and have remained close with ever since. We’ve always shared the same vision for our industry and life in general.
My aim/goal and dream is to work alongside a team I can share my expertise and experience with and at the same time educate myself more from the talent that will surround me so we can all grow together to become something beautiful and create the perfect environment for our guests of the salon to enjoy!! Hey everyone
quick update after my operation but it’s all positive 🙏🏻🙏🏻
So originally the surgeon told me that potentially I had ligament damage which made my elbow unstable and prone to dislocating again and because i yeah my arm was bent I thought the bones had fused badly I presumed I would need to be re-broken then pinned and screwed backed together.
However when I got home Isaac wanted to see my scar and stitches, so I took off my sling and realised I haven’t got any LOL
Just read through my notes I think what they’ve done is put me under then manipulated back into position. checked the stability of it without having to cut me open so doesn’t seem like there’s any ligament damage or repair work. The bones werent fused together. And no need for metal work to screw in place.
Can’t believe it is so definitely will be off for four weeks off with plenty of physio and rest but I think I could be back a lot sooner (albeit reduced hours) than 3 months I’d been originally told.
I feel so positive about it and obviously the surgeon does too!
I’ll get in contact with everyone soon.
So happy that I’m feeling good and can enjoy a pain free Christmas with the family.

Hey
So just updating everyone on my progress regarding dislocation and fractured elbow.
2 weeks after my CT scan had been feeling a lot better mentally and physically and positive that results were not going to be as bad as originally thought.
However Monday evening got a call from hospital to go into hospital Tuesday morning.
Was shocked and devastated after feeling so positive especially as i would miss my son Isaacs performance as Joseph in his 1st ever nativity because of it.
Got to Hospital at 10am nil by mouth and waited until 4:30pm only to be sent home with no operation as they ran late.
Very frustrating for me however no blame or anger towards Hospital/NHS as I’m hearing this scenario happen for cases far worse than my own.
The NHS staff have been amazing they are just overwhelmed, overrun, underpaid and understaffed. Please support them.
I’m now booked back in to have operation on Monday and managed to get to see Isaacs second performance of nativity so I’m now much happier with situation.
Unfortunately I will not know recovery time as surgeons won’t know how much they need to do until they operate.
I’ll be in touch with everyone booked in as I definitely won’t be back before Christmas unfortunately.
My first December off work in 27 year career wasn’t how I imagined it but because of the support of all the people I have in my life I’m positive about the whole experience.
Thank you everyone for every message, Phone-call, present or kind gesture it’s helped me so much.
Take care everyone if you do fall over please be drunk as nurses said you cause less damage than I did being sober.
Love you all Dylan.
A Hairdressers worst nightmare has unfortunately come true for me.
I slipped and fell in wet weather Tuesday, I dislocated and fractured my elbow.
Words can’t describe how was excruciating the pain was and how devastated I am for this to happen my first week of Christmas rush.
I’m awaiting CT scan very soon and am praying I’ll be back before Christmas.
If you have an appointment with me coming up I’ll be in touch very shortly to discuss in more details.
I’m up and down emotionally due to not being at work and letting people down as I pride myself on consistency at work.
My amazing wife and kids are taking good care of me and grateful for the extra time I have with them.
A huge thank you to Chris Poole Nicola Poole and Ria Groves for aiding me when accident occurred your care and support won’t be forgotten.
Thanks to everyone I’ve already cancelled for their understanding and support.
I’ll keep everyone booked in December updated very soon. Slowly working through diary day by day.
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
