(CDBG) administered by the Los Angeles County
Development Authority is one of the largest in the country serving more than 2.4 million people.🏘️🌆

It includes services for seniors, youth, persons experiencing homelessness, and persons with disabilities. The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) provided additional support for 2,620 businesses and 1,360 households in the area.

We are grateful to U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Fudge for visiting Jackson, KY to announce a $298 Million CDBG-RD grant to support eastern Ky flood relief efforts.
"Everyone in our communities have been working together to rebuild," said Fahe CEO Jim King. "The funding from HUD is the boost we need to rebuild."

Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) funding plays a crucial role in supporting programs that benefit all members of our community. The Seattle Parks and Recreation Seattle Conservation Corps (SCC), for example, provides job skills training and employment opportunities for individuals experiencing homelessness while improving parks and public spaces for all Seattle residents. With CDBG funding, the SCC was able to make accessibility upgrades to six parks in 2022 and has received $808K in funding for new projects in 2023.

As proclaimed by Mayor Lenny Curry today, this week is Community Development Week in Jacksonville. This week-long campaign is used to highlight local and national contributions of the Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
During his administration over the past eight years, CDBG funds have provided $43.7M in funding to provide for neighborhood revitalization, economic development, public facility improvements, and public services. Just last year, 26,000+ residents were served through programs supported by CDBG funds.
We want to take the time and recognize the important contributions made locally through the Commitment
Development Block Program.

Every city that has more than 50,000 residents receives funds from the Community Development Block Grant
(CDBG) Program to help with issues surrounding housing affordability and safety, suitable living environments, expanding economic opportunities, as well as many other efforts to build and strengthen the community.
This week is designated as National Community Development Week in support of the program.
