“The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness.” ― John Muir.
Forest bathing (森林浴, shinrin'yoku) is a very simple meditative practice. Walking mindfully in a forest or other natural setting, we open our senses to Nature. Letting the sounds, smells and visual messages in through the five senses allows us to connect deeply and intimately with Mother Earth, the source of all life. Ego-centric thoughts drop away naturally. As levels of the seratonin rise, feelings of gratitude, peace and happiness flood one's body, healing stress and anxiety..

Sitio Kayrupa, Barangay San Rafael, Rodriguez, Rizal: MAHARLIKA PARADISE ECO-CAMP SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT.
DANGAL MAHARLIKA AWARD for Volunteers of the Year!
After the 19th Sunrise Festival, volunteers started to clean up and dispose the human waste accumulated during the three days event last Nov. 25-26-27, 2022.
The concept of solid waste management was first introduced in Crete or in ancient Greece circa 3000 BC and in China around 2000 BC to be utilized later for making bronze. But only at the 18th century that the disposal of solid waste management became much organized in London.
Solid Waste Management is a universal issue that matters to each and every concern individuals and organizations around the globe.
Meanwhile in Maharlika or the country now called Philippines, the ecological waste management was introduced in 2000 as RA 9003 and was put in effect on February 16, 2001.
Currently, the solid waste management has larger issues to be tackle, but being aware of the hazardous effect to human health and the environment it became a ritual by the Maharlika volunteers in partnership with the DENR/PPL (Pamitinan Protected Landscape) in cooperation with the Barangay Council of San Rafael, Rodiguez, Rizal the need to dispose these non biodegradable wastes such as various kinds of plastic that took at least 1,000 years to decompose, Aluminum 80-100 years, Styrofoam cups & plates 800 years to forever and bottles at least 1 million years.
These non bio-degradable solid wastes are being carried outside the Protected Area (PA) through a motorized banca along the Wawa River up to the Wawa ground to be pick up by the municipal garbage truck collector for proper disposal.
