Hi, I’m Dr. Dee Asaah, author at BloomScholar and teacher-educator at the University of Pennsylvania.

I’ve worked with students, parents, and teachers in the US and internationally for over a decade.

As a dad of two college students (18 and 16), I care deeply about what our children read and how they learn.

Most children’s books don’t include guiding questions or lesson plans. Parents read these books with their children passively and miss opportunities for transformative conversations.
