ANG PERTUSSIS AY MAIIWASAN. MAGING MAAGAP AT TIYAKING MGA ANAK NATIN AY NABAKUNAHAN!
Pabakunahan po natin ang ating mga anak. Tiyaking nabigyan sila ng bakuna laban sa pertussis nung sila ay nasa edad na 1 1/2 buwan; 2 1/2 buwan at 3 1/2 buwan. At nakatanggap ng Booster sa Dtap kung sila ay 4-6y/o at Tdap 7y/o. Dumarami ang mga kaso ng Pertussis o whooping cough sa ating probinsya. Ito ay nakakahawa at nakamamatay kaya protektahan natin ang ating mga anak sa pamamagitan ng pagkonsulta at pagbabakuna. Kung may mga katanungan at nais magpakonsulta, bukas po ang mga health centers (RHUs at BHS) Lunes hanggang Biyernes, 8am-5pm.

Baranggay Health Workers Basic Training Course 2023 Recently, a one-week seminar for Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) was successfully concluded in Capas. The seminar aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of BHWs in providing healthcare services to their communities. It was organized by the local government unit thru Capas MHO in collaboration with the Provincial Health Office and Department of Health. The seminar covered a wide range of topics relevant to the roles and responsibilities of BHWs. The sessions were facilitated by experienced healthcare professionals, doctors, and nurses who provided valuable insights and practical demonstrations. The seminar also emphasized the importance of community engagement and effective communication in delivering healthcare services. BHWs were trained on how to conduct health education campaigns, organize medical missions, and establish partnerships with local healthcare providers. They were also encouraged to develop leadership skills to mobilize their communities towards better health outcomes. Overall, the recently concluded one-week seminar for Barangay Health Workers in Capas was a resounding success. It equipped BHWs with the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to effectively serve their communities. By investing in the continuous professional development of BHWs, the seminar aimed to contribute to the improvement of healthcare delivery at the grassroots level and ultimately enhance the overall well-being of the barangay residents.

Capas Municipal Health Office conducts Tuberculosis Advocacy Campaign Video to increase public awareness about the global epidemic of TB. This aims to provide proper information about prevention and control of this disease. This years campaign targets group of high risk individual to widen the scope of contact tracing so as to achieve the goal of reducing new active cases of TB by early detection and treatment. The municipality’s “Bago Pumasada, Tiyaking Baga ay Pasado” is a first in National Tuberculosis Program campaigns that targets the public health transport drivers as they should have their chest x-ray taken before they serve the commuters of Capas.
