Currently selling this nice little Dansette transistor set, if anyone is interested:

Recently refurbished, fully working Dansette 222 portable radio, in 2-tone grey with cream leather handle and cream plastic grille. Excellent condition for its age
(please see photos for details), for around 60 years old it isn't too bad at all, I think.

LW / MW, Tuner, On / Off & Volume controls.

Tunes in well to numerous local and national stations on MW, as well as receiving the Spanish National Radio station - RNE during the hours of darkness. On LW, BBC Radio 4 198kHz and Chaine Algerie 3 252kHz from Algeria (hours of darkness).

I have cleaned up the radio both externally and internally, polished up the grille and escutcheons, replaced all the old plastic capacitors with modern equivalents, carried out I.F. and aerial alignment checks / adjustments, using specialist test equipment.

The damaged original vinyl handle has been replaced. The replacement has been expertly handcrafted in leather, by Devines Design to match the original.

Fitted with a modern PP3 battery clip, as the original PP7s are hard to get hold of nowadays, and cost a fortune. I will supply with the battery shown fitted (UK only), although cannot guarantee how long it will last for.

*RADIO WILL BE WELL PACKAGED IN BUBBLEWRAP AND A SECURE BOX, and will be sent as "Signed For" both within the U.K. and Internationally. The delivery charges
represent the total P&P costs, and are the cheapest way in which I can send
out radios SAFELY and SECURELY.

Recently refurbished, EXCELLENT CONDITION, fully working Dansette Gem portable radio, in a 3-tone orange découpage case. The original vinyl covering was so badly damaged, so I decided to strip and recover with my own sympathetic design, which has been sealed with lacquer in order to protect it.
