Seasons of HARD.

We all have them right?

I read a passage today that told a story about this- “If a piece of steel cannot take the heating and beating and cooling, then I throw it on the scrap heap. Otherwise it becomes a useful tool. So my prayer is only this: “Dear god, heat me, beat me, cool me, do whatever– but don’t ever throw me on the scrap heap.”
The scrap heap is a comfortable place. Nobody beats you, nobody heats you, nobody does anything to you, but you are on the scrap heap. You should not be afraid of pain, you should not be afraid of hardship, you should not be afraid of death. “Don’t put me on the scrap heap.” That should be the only fear for a person on the spiritual path.”

Embrace the HARD. On the other side of that hard is a new you, a wiser you, wisdom to give back, and more life to live.

It’s always about the journey- not the destination.

What parts of your life are you playing small?

Idk why it takes bad things in life to happen so us to look up and appreciate things but as I was looking through pictures of Mandi I found these gems..

Look at these guys- some of these photos are like 13-14 years old.

Some people in these photos are no longer with us. Some of us have families now, some of us are chasing careers, some of us it’s a struggle just to make it out of bed right now. Some of us life has hit really hard. Some of us have just been enjoying the ride.

I look at these photos and I’m so grateful for each and every one of you & the memories we have built🙏🏽 Kids don’t live like we did anymore.

Mandi had a personality that you could never forget. She was bold and strong and when she was in the room you knew it. Her smile was huge and her sass was real.

Mandi did what Mandi wanted and there was no life experience she was missing out on.

During basketball seasons Mandi was like the little sis that always wanted to be apart of all of the action.

She was real raw and spoke what she felt. She was a beast on the court and the life of the party.

Really hard to wrap my mind around this one- Another good one gone to soon. ❤️🙏🏽

“Find what sets your soul on fire.” “What makes you lean forward?” These are a statement and a question that weighed heavily on me while I was in my last few months of college.

What sets my soul on fire? & What makes me lean forward?

Have you ever asked your self those questions?

It’s amazing what you find when you do if you are honest with your self.

I was good at nursing and it was cool- but did I feel a literal burning desire inside of me for it? Did it make me feel like I couldn’t sit still and I couldn’t wait to do it all over again? Nope. 🤷🏽‍♀️

If you have not found that feeling yet.. I suggest you continue to search and be real with your self and watch for that feeling. Once you find it you will know and you will never want to let it go. I believe that’s how it feels when we find out purpose & our true passion.

When I have an idea and I get that feeling- that’s when I know that’s the next move I need to make!

Those of you that have been around awhile have witnessed the years of changes, permits, surprises, blood, sweat, and tears that went into creating this model. To think a year in and we are already being voted the business of the year?! 😱

To my team-this is for you guys. You guys have rolled with everything I’ve thrown your way. You guys have stepped up when needed. Pivoted when we needed to pivot. You guys have poured into each other. You guys have loved on our customers. You guys have shared the gift of yaks with everyone you encounter. This year hasn’t been an easy one for so many of you guys… but you have showed up anyways and fought the good fight.

To the community of Mount Shasta- the biggest thank you. You guys accepted me when I was just a wee baby 22 year old that had no idea what I was doing and have continued to believe in our vision and support us everyday. I love our city and together we make Mount Shasta such a beautiful place.
