The Environment Management Bureau (EMB) Region 1 awarded one (1) bio-composter, one (1) shredding machine and other materials for solid waste recycling and management in support to the Solid Waste Management Program of the City. Mabuhay EMB Region 1 and thank you very much..

In line with the City Greening Program, the City Environment and Natural Resources Office assisted the PNP Vigan City in the conduct of tree planting activity at the Vigan Ecological and Tree Park, Barangay Raois.

The City Environment and Natural Resources Office participated in the release of more than 70 Pawikan hatchlings together with the Office of SPM Chrisopher Baterina, PNP Maritime DENR and the residents of Barangay Mindoro..

The Vigan City Environment and Natural Resources Office conucted Information Education and Communication Campaign on the Establishment of Marine Protected Area (MPA) to the residents of the coastal barangays of San Pedro and Mindoro last December 22, 2021, wherein basic informations on MPAs and the role of the community were pointed out.

WASTE WATCH: A total of 92,743 SACKS or 2,782,290 KILOGRAMS of mixed solid wastes were removed by the PRCMO River Warriors and Patrollers from the Pasig River System from April to June 2021 ✅

This number represents the whopping volume of waste WE GENERATE and MISMANAGE! There is no better time than NOW to turn things around and take action against waste and pollution!
