Some of the photos of the incredible participants of Albert’s workshop! Thank you UVSA South!
"Dù ai đi ngược về xuôi
Nhớ ngày giỗ tổ mùng 10 tháng 3."
The saying means no matter where we are or where we were born, as long as we are having our Vietnamese heritage, we are a family descending from the noble Hùng.
This traditional saying has been recited for more than 4,000 years ever since the founding of our country Việt Nam by our fathers Hùng Kings.
On this day, we are commemorating the hard work done to build the country, the language, and the culture by our ancestors. This date is also an occasion in which we come together regardless of distance to celebrate.
Happy Hùng King's Commemoration Day, VieTalk Fam!!
Happy Monday!
Last Saturday, our instructor Albert represented VieTalk and hosted the workshop at UVSA South Leadership Summit X at the University of Dallas virtually! The purpose of the workshop was to introduce the participants to the Vietnamese language and culture and engage everyone through highly innovative and interactive activities - just as we usually do at VieTalk!
We would like to send our gratitude to UVSA South for having us and for the amazing support they have provided to make this workshop successful! We also want to highlight the incredible energy of the participants and the tremendous help from our VieTalk student, Christina Tang!
VieTalk Summer Fellowship Program
The mission of VieTalk is not only to introduce language and cultural knowledge to the community, but we also gather together to harness the collective wisdom in support of civic engagement and transformative social change. We are honored to announce the theme of the inaugural VieTalk Summer Fellowship this year, The Golden Heart.
We want to highlight two significant features as part of the program this year:
Love Without Words: During the ten weeks of the program, our 25 fellows will get hands-on knowledge to apply for the visual and audible projects that demonstrate their care and love for family, community, and the world.
Love Without Border: Our fellows will get matched with the Vietnam non-profit organizations/ community projects organized by the Vietnamese students/ leaders. Our fellows will work virtually with these organizations to make a significant change in Vietnam. We hope that the program is a cultural exchange between Vietnam and the world and bring the worldwide Vietnamese community closer together.
Our application will open on April 15th, 2022.
We are grateful that you choose to take a step for the good of humankind.
