I think it’s the little moments of winter that I like the best. 💙 Empty roads, a little snowman, the sharp contrast of lights and darks… I’m counting down the days until I can get up north to some snow! As I sit here and post this in sunny Southern California, where it will hit 70 degrees today 😂

I’ve always loved winter! 🤩 (Obviously I live in the wrong state! 😂) Here are some things that I want to do to make the best of the season!

•Snowy hikes through the evergreen trees!
•See a frosty waterfall
•Watch snow fall into the river
•Snowboard days!
•Warm drinks at cozy coffee shops
•Take winter photos.
•Cozy crafting days. I like making random artsy stuff.
•Holiday baking!

I was feeling a little dreamy today 🥰

This was taken in Costa Rica, which has, in my opinion, some of the absolute best sunsets. Wouldn’t mind seeing another one of these!

2. Layers! (Fleece, Base layer etc.) Temperatures can be really unpredictable so it’s always good to have some options!

Planning your fall backpacking trips? Head to Big Sur!

I can’t recommend Big Sur enough in the fall. The colors are absolutely beautiful and it’s the perfect hiking temperature. (Cold at night, but nothing you can’t prepare for!)
It’s kind of one of those places that just blows you away no matter how many times you’ve been there.

I’ve been feeling very nostalgic for some PNW spring/summer vibes lately!

The last little dusting of snow around this treehouse that I would honestly 100 percent just live in.

It’s a rainy day here in Los Angeles, so something a little bit moody felt appropriate. 🌲

Throwin it back because I miss Costa Rica, and this little guy just enjoying his lunch. 💚 I could have followed him around and photographed him all day! The wildlife in Costa Rica was without a doubt one of my favorite parts of the whole trip.

Oregon lakes are some of the best… if you’re ever in Portland, take a little day trip up to Mount Hood, and pick a lake, any lake! I think it might be literally impossible to go wrong.

This spot in particular I found as a complete accident, while looking for a different lake! But trails and roads were closed and I couldn’t get to where I wanted to go… I was very bummed. As we were driving home, we saw a couple signs for Timothy Lake, and turned a corner just to check it out. It’s since become one of my absolute favorite swim spots in the summer.

was kind enough to send me this bracelet, and I wanted to take a minute to share with you guys a little bit about what this company is doing, because I think it’s pretty cool.

They use recycled materials from our oceans to make these beautiful little bracelets (I’m wearing the EcoVida in these photos!) And with every purchase they plant a tree in the rainforest. Once your tree has been planted, they continue to care for it, ensuring that their trees have a 98% success rate of reaching full maturity.

The state of our planet is something I think about a lot, so when I hear about brands like this actively trying to make changes, it makes me feel a little better. Check them out and do something good for the planet. ❤️ And get a cute bracelet out of it 😉

I’ve always loved cold, moody, gloomy weather. When I was a kid living in Hawaii and the temperature would drop below 80 degrees I would get so excited! 😂 On the rare cloudy day I would just feel so alive. So the Oregon mountains in the snow are a dream to me. I think I could hike a new trail up there every day and never get tired of it.

Today is the first day that it really feels like we’re settling into regular life after the New Year. I’m back in LA and back to work, but very ready for a good 2023! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season, and some plans to keep you excited for this year!

Here’s a pretty view to start you off on the right foot. 😉 Taken on a beautiful day in the Mount Hood National Forest.

These guys have really taken me everywhere. To the tops of mountains and across a whole lot of miles.

Funny fact: for a long time I didn’t think it was necessary to have water proof boots. I’m not sure why I was so convinced of that idea… But let me tell you from experience… It is very necessary. My feet are significantly warmer now. 😂

Can’t believe it’s been almost a year since I got to visit this beautiful country… and become best friends with this little guy ❤️

It seems we’ve entered winter. I don’t really get true seasons here in Los Angeles but it’s definitely gotten cold over the last couple days! And I couldn’t be happier about that 😂

I’ve been seeing so many beautiful winter shots and videos on here, so here’s one of my favorite snowy memories. I love the beginning of a snowfall when you can still see the green trees, and the soft flakes falling on the river…
