Colorado Gun Restorations
Gun bluing and restorations including custom wood and case coloring
The fun of checkering. I pretty much just do this for friends these days as it’s not what I most enjoy doing.
Making parts for a marbles game getter. won’t find these parts anywhere and they’re pretty tricky to make.
A batch of Carbona blues parts just out of the kiln.
A Wi******er 63 that was in the boulder fire last year. Had to get some replacement parts as it had melted pretty well. The receiver and many parts are original.
The painted black family gun is heading home with a new life. Had to cut 4” off as the end was too far gone to save….
A beautiful c**t police used by a NY police officer for decades restored back to its glory. Pitting so bad we had to reengrave the horse.
Got to meet Sir Stanley cup today. My other passion.
Hard to leave this is gonna come back to life but let’s see..
Not sure why but it seems like painting guns black was a popular thing 100 years ago
Always fun to see what people wrote inside of 100 year old guns.
1959 police gun ready for a spruce up. These are hard as c**t buffers were masters at a perfect finish. Taking the pitting out and keeping it flat can be a lot of work!
Finally finished my C**t 1902 with the machine blued “Carbonia” bluing. Beautiful…..
A Marlin 1894 in 44W that was in very, very bad shape looking like the day it came from the factory. I want one!
A 4 digit SN Wi******er 1894 back from the closing rust.
A Smith & Wesson model 12 police gun. I machine blued also know as carbonia bluing for a gorgeous deep blue finish.
You would think putting together a 1950’s S&W police gun would be easy but the amount of microscopic parts is amazing.
A beautiful Wi******er 70 back from the rust with custom stock oil finish….
A Re*****on 121 that was severely pitted. Better than new with the hand oiled wood.
Ah, bluing day! Always nice to see old turn to new again.
Busy week engraving and prepping this months batch of 8 guns.
Someday I’ll find a gun that has more parts than a Wi******er 94……
A full mornings work fitting stock and forearm. Just waiting on the Wi******er 1895 buttplate for fitting.
A special 1895 in 405 project. New wood and charcoal carbonia or carbona bluing. Should be spectacular.
80-130 year old wood getting a second chance at another 100 years. Just the sealer but WOW what a difference….
Next round of guns. A early 1894, Marlin 1888, 7mm Wi******er, a Wi******er 1895 shotgun trench conversion, and a few hand guns.
