In today’s episode of doing all the things I’m painting the dining room and getting a fun lesson about the colors that go into making a shade of blue.
I keep making the mistake of thinking I can do all the things — make a new collection of work, fulfill orders for classic designs, promote my jewelry, communicate about life as an artist, make dinner, see friends, run errands, nurture a relationship, garden, exercise, read, play… over and over it feels like a failure that I can’t. I’m a slow learner.
I've been wearing these old favorites lately 🖤
Fall is finally here. Bringing in the tomatoes.
Friday ring mash up. Homemade + favorite antiques.
There’s still room in my class this Sunday October 1st in Kingston NY. Click on the link in my profile for the details.
Dropped off these sweet wee earrings a little while ago.
Tiny Squares. I’ll be teaching how to make this necklace (or your own design using this method) on October 1st at Hudson Valley Silverworks LLC in Kingston, NY.
Beautiful shots of wearing some of my woven rings with a fabulous mix of rings by and vintage.

When I started making these rings I was just figuring out how to make the shapes I imagined, I didn’t really think about who would wear them. I love how gender neutral they’re turning out to be!
This little “Hand Blanket” sculpture was made for my birthday by my aunt,
You can see it on ‘s hand a couple of posts ago. It’s like a tiny golden pelt, you can stroke the metal fur back and forth. On the back Jessica wrote my name in yellow beads against the pink, a secret message. Can you make out the letters?
Such a classic design. I don’t think I’ll ever stop making Bullet Cuffs. Last seen on

Today I’m finally carving wax so I can cast some new ring shapes. I love carving so much. It feels strangely familiar, like something I’ve done before, even though it’s still a new, developing skill.
Just a circle…
Finished that Rain necklace I was making. What next?
I’m alternating between making completely new things and making variations of old favorites. It helps me stay grounded to be using the same old tools in the same old way once in a while. Too much newness can be scary.
This ring is and matte silver with white pearls. Circles, circles, circles… ⭕️⭕️⭕️
A little reminder on my desk.
I have a sour cherry tree that most years only fruits enough to feed some birds, a plum tree whose three annual plums always mysteriously drop unripe to the ground, and the little wonky peach tree smooshed in between them, who produces tons of delicious little peaches every single summer.
I love rings. Unfortunately the rings I made before working with metal never had enough structural integrity for regular wear. I still haven’t solved the problem with those designs (goals!) but I’m finally making some rings that I’m happy with. (Obviously I’m still obsessed with circles 🙄).
I started making jewelry when I moved to NYC and my aunt gave me a job. I went from assisting her to designing with her, to being a solo artist.
Then one day I woke up and realized I’d been making jewelry for 20 years. That's a long time to follow the same trajectory. I needed a change but wasn’t sure what it was.
That was 3 years ago, just in time for 2020 and the pause it forced on us. I thought the break would clarify things, but when “normal” life resumed the feeling that I needed another way of working remained.
Since then I’ve been exploring new techniques, new skills, new materials. The whole time feeling like I’m moving in slow motion, a turtle never reaching my destination. I haven’t known how to share my process (progress?), thinking that I needed to pull together *a new collection* to *launch*. But at this rate that might take forever.
Instead I want to start sharing where I am and what I’m making, even if I don’t quite know where I’m going. So here I am. Hello there 😀
I have two workshops coming up in March and April Join us and make an embellished chain necklace or some Cluster earrings, or get help coming up with a design of your own. It’ll be fun! Sign up link is in my profile ⬆️
