**I’m sorry the angle of this video is trash**

It’s been a few months since I really bumped up my weight on my deadlift. Mentioned before I’ve been working on my form versus weight with my current program.

I feel I’ve learned to take constructive criticism well WHEN IT’S PRESENTED IN THE RIGHT WAY. Especially when it comes to lifting.

I used to think deadlifts were a back building exercise. Dang I was so wrong 😅 by using your back instead of your hips, core, and legs you are compensating and not achieving the full potential of your lift.

I LEARNED THIS THE HARD WAY. After many days of back pain and waking up soar, I believe I have reached MY potential. By rep 2 I could feel a SMIDGE amount of rounding so by rep 3 I did my best to fix it.

185 went up well but I am going to stay put on weight and go for reps. ✌🏻

Self update:

I am 5’5 and currently sit at 159lbs and consume roughly 1,700 calories a day.

It took a LONG time for me to accept myself. And I mean truly accept myself for everything I am and continue to be. I do this for ME. And of course my hubs 😉

I’ve been feeling exhausted this past week.
Doing life by myself is hard. Between my job, the gym, and taking care of my dogs, I’m tired.

I took it fairly easy in the gym today. I elevated my RDL’s so I get a better stretch at the bottom and focused on getting a good squeeze at the top.

If you want a firm 🍑, DO THESE. And wherever you are mentally, physically, or emotionally, know you are ALWAYS enough ❤️ because if they can’t handle you at your worst, they definitely don’t deserve you at your best.

I think my job, the gym, and Juice Wrld are the only things keeping me sane while my husband is deployed. 😅

Having a good gym routine and staying consistent with is key 🔑

My morning consisted of:

• dumbbell bench press (these have become my favorite)
• underhand barbell rows
• Arnold press
• single arm lay pull downs
• assisted tricep dips

Happy Tuesday!

I started my new plan today with a different approach. I’m focusing more on muscle mind connection versus always trying to lift heavier. I added exercises I know my form needs to improve on and movements that sometimes make me uncomfortable.

Today included:
• bench press 12x2, 10x2
• overhead shoulder press 12x3
• single arm cable curls 12x3
• overhand tricep push down 12x3
• lat pull down 12x3

Y’all I tried this goblet squat variation and I was DYING to the point I could only do 5 at a time.

May include these in my next plan but dang these hurt. The gym heat is REAL right now so I may try and stick to black leggings only 🤣 being a girl who sweats like a grown ass man is NOT fun.

If your facial expressions aren’t ugly at the gym then you aren’t training hard enough.

Doing some abs while in between sets and still trying to find a comfortable way to place the dumbbells on my shoulders but I’m always a work in progress 🤙🏻

YOU are the greatest project you will ever work on ❤️

I’ve mentioned before that I enjoy upper days more than lower and I meant it. Lol these 50’s were killing me.

Todays workout included
• Dumbbell bench press
• EZ bar curls
• Single arm dumbbell rows (as pictured)
• Seated cable rows
• Single arm lat pull downs

I struggle with body image on a daily as I’m sure most of us do. BUT this body has done for me than anyone else ever will. And it deserves some recognition from myself. Your flaws are what makes you YOU!

It’s been awhile since 185lbs felt this good.

I’ve been dealing with some internal battles so today was a good day to lift heavy. ❤️

Although you may not be in control of most of the things in your life, bettering your health and YOURSELF is something only YOU can control. Tear it up 🤙🏻

Gave 70’s a spin today in my goblet squat and I even had help from the hottest guy at the gym 🫣

SUMMER IS AROUND THE CORNER and I’ll be ready 🤙🏻

If there is one thing I love doing it’s TO EAT! And these are only my snacks 😅 breakfast, lunch, and dinner not included.

I currently do not track my calories. Tracking calories is mentally exhausting for me.

I still eat all the foods I enjoy and I don’t think I could ever give up lunchables 🤷🏼‍♀️

I try to keep in mind to have a balanced diet. You do not have to eat chicken, rice, and broccoli for every meal. When I first started dropping weight that’s ALL I ate. While it worked yes, I wasn’t enjoying my food like I should have.

ALL FOODS FIT! ❤️

It’s a Hypertrophy upper day on this beautiful Sunday.

Here is a couple warm ups I do to get my blood flowing and awaken my muscles after I struggled to get out of bed this morning. 😅

I do these with light weights but do not take a rest in between sets. Three rounds of ten reps on each exercise!

• Around the worlds
• Lateral raises
• Rounded front raises

I’m still working out the kinks of the page so 🐻 with me! 😅

I want to say thank you for the like! I will do my best to keep y’all as updated as I can when it comes to my gym routines. I mainly do gym based workouts but I am going to try and incorporate exercises that can be performed at home as well!

I know a lot of people don’t have the extra time to go to a gym between life, kids, school, work etc. ❤️

If you asked me how many times I’ve trained abs in the last 6 months the answer is zero.

I realized that I was neglecting the one muscle group that gives you the most power in your lifts. I’ve been trying to incorporate them at least twice a week!

They make me very uncomfortable. But I guess that’s my point is getting yourself out of your comfort zone. The only person in your way is YOU. 💙
