We must end domestic violence.
Shattering the Silence: Strikingly, nearly 9 out of 10 parents in homes where domestic violence happens think their children aren't aware of the violence. Yet the majority of those same children said they've very much aware. And the consequences can be profound.
Awareness of CDV and how it affects one's own children is an important first step to reducing that impact. ๐๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ
Hopefully more companies will follow this example

Supporting community is at the heart of what we are doing in Crehan Sisters Project and the Marvellous Meitheal Society. We want to facilitate people helping each other so that we can create strong communities that can prosper and be successful.
We want to recognize the great work being done by many great organizations and companies in this field. One of these companies is in New York City. She has an inspiring story of overcoming addiction & homelessness as ayoung adult. She is dedicated to hiring other women in similar situations and providing them with a second chance & a hope of creating a better life.
We are also happy in this month of Women's History to recognize a company founded and run by a woman.

We meant it when we said we are building a company built by the community - which is why we like to share each little success along the way. Each idea, milestone, and success an accumulation of many voices. It's not easy, but it sure is fun!
It requires creativity, multiple rough drafts, inspiration, and much love - to make it a work of art. And, sometimes, what you are looking for is right in front of your face - we didn't have to look far for this piece; we just looked to our roots.
Meitheal is an old Irish word used to describe where a group of neighbors come together to help each other in many ways, such as harvesting crops.
While we may not be farmers, the sentiment is carried forward and forms the backbone of the Crehan Sisters Project. It's not just rolling up your sleeves; it's a fun and social gathering of friends and neighbors first - then we help in any way necessary.
We are designing the Crehan Sisters Project to be committed to working with our friends and neighbors, encouraging them to act together to help each other in many different ways.
So why not carry the name to house all the fun projects planned?
First, we design our projects so that we can all play a part in helping each other.
Second, any time you shop with us, you will support brands that give back - because we only carry brands that do.
Third, to compound all this good giving, we dedicate 15% of the profits to funding the MMS, keeping both committed to the same purpose and the continuum of compassion, believing that action is more influential than words.
Ultimately, the Crehan Sisters Project is the commercial side of doing good, enabling the Marvelous Meitheal Society to focus on the projects - putting actions behind the words in many fun & creative ways that have a significant impact.
With the Marvelous Meitheal Society, we can celebrate what we have done by working together. And in doing so, we are rewarded by creating a stronger community for ourselves.

Today's final draft is tomorrow's rough draft. We are constantly building on our life.
There will always be a critic.
There will always be someone to say you are not doing it right.
But at Crehan Sisters Project, we are not those people. Instead, we want you to explore, be curious, share ideas and your experiences with others - because we do the same.
We don't show up with the final product - we are making you part of the process for a fundamental reason.
The Crehan Sisters Project is a company built for people by people.
And we know how unique each individual is. So we aim to create an environment where you can foster confidence and silence insecurity.
The rough draft is just where we start, and like any living, breathing document - it grows with us.
The only final draft you create is the one you make on your last day when the world gives you one last look back at what you left behind in this lifetime.
So plan a few daily actions, put the pencil down, and enjoy what you wrote with every character in your story. And thank god for one more day. ๐
Good Morning! Happy Friday!
Kept this unscripted and unedited. I want to get away from comparing ourselves to the final product. I keep it real. ๐
1. We all start with a rough draft. I have so many I stopped counting ๐
2. Back roads create the best memories โค๏ธ
3. Coffee is magic that I always need more of โ๏ธ ๐
4. I think I have to warn you that I said a swear word on accident. Sorry!!! Side note: I could put my daughter through college with my contributions to the swear jar. I will try harder ๐ฌ
Either way time to kick off the weekend and turn off the GPS. Have a great weekend!

I LOVE Penguins. I am convinced my spirit animal is an Adelie Penguin. They are small but feisty, and they look out for one another. They understand they have to both be strong and work together to survive. But it's something else too.
When you look at them as a group, they all look the same, but they find each other through something else - sound - that's how they see each other, not physical, but as individuals in a group where everyone can quickly look the same.
For me, the human spirit is like the wind, felt on the face but only seen when the tree branches move. You don't SEE that person across the bar, but you FEEL their soul, spirit, or energy pushing you like the branches.
I believe we feel people, not see them. Not in the tangible way, but in the same way that music touches our soul. We meet someone, and with our eyes, we see the color of their hair, the clothes they wear, and their physical body. So we conclude that we like blondes, tall, short - men or women. But I often wonder - if that were the case, why do we not like all people physically resembling that person?
Because there is something different about the one that got your attention - you don't know what it is; they are just different.
It's a feeling. It may be a best friend or a lover, but they stand out in a crowd - not to everyone but you.
The relationship you build becomes the walls of a secret clubhouse in the woods.
When I look at people that way, I stop comparing and start feeling. I begin to experience people. I fall in love with a person, their intangible part. They become one of my penguins, and we grow together.
My sister was my penguin. And I lost her. She went out for a swim one day and didn't come back. And it broke me. But like any good colony, I have surrounded myself with other amazing penguins who support me. They helped me when I needed it. They didn't separate me from the colony.
This project is a penguin colony. And together, we will ensure we take care of each other - both in my personal and professional life.
This colony is for life; there will be many twists and turns and many looks, but the colony's energy will always remain.
Our story starts with the music - mine and my sisters first, making it a big part of the Crehan Sisters Project.
My sister and I shared a love of music. As kids, we would pretend to be DJs interviewing fake celebrities in our bedrooms. We saw the world through our music - like a soundtrack for the day.
We concluded - everything and everyone needed a song. Mine - is Uptown Girl by Billy Joel. Hers - Life is a Highway by Tom Cochrane. I cant hear that song without being pulled back to an old station wagon and an unexpected concert in the car.
We decided the beat did not determine a great song; it was in the lyrics. Lyrics come from a powerful place; the words for those lyrics come from a place filled with emotion, the ones we hide away.
See, two people can write the same lines and sing them on stage, but if one has lived experience behind them while the other only sing the words - you can feel the difference.
We hear the song with our ears, but we feel the music with our hearts.
David Grohl said, " That's one of the greatest things about music. You can sing a song to 85,000 people, and they'll sing it back for 85,000 different reasons."
Music creates this invisible cord that connects us underneath all the layers of circumstance. And for a moment, we are all one - no one competing or comparing - just feeling the music.
We remember what it feels like to be seen, not the physical but the intangible parts. The pieces of us that are unseen with the eye but felt with the heart.
Like music, we feel people; making music the voice of the soul, where the importance is that you are present, it is not how you got there.
That's how I interpret what David Grohl meant. Surface-level details do not separate us unless we let them. So we must remember to feel that shared connection that stems from the emotions underneath.
The cord is woven not by what you do but by why you do it. And it's humans who are the weavers. So, here we turn them on again, all of them, and find each other.
Choose your sound, your rhythm, your lyrics - make it yours. Then share it with someone without being afraid to listen to something new.
