Lota lota (burbot) The only member of Lotidae family also the ONLY gadiform freshwater fish! Often referred to as dogfish, this fish is definitely unique. From the way it swims and looks it is definitely a sight to see. Have any of you tried poor man's lobster?

Let's try a little species Sunday! This is a Goldeye; Belonging to family Hiodontida, it's only other relative being Mooneye. These small but feisty narrow fish tend live in rivers and lakes in Canada and the northern United States, with a lifespan of approximately 10 years. Have you caught any of these little fighters?
