Today we walked the Cardiff Bay Trail. Although the we had a bit of an unpredicted wet and windy start we carried on and finished the walk in the sun (and wind). π @ Cardiff Bay Trail

Yesterday we hiked all the way up to Castell Coch. π₯Ύ The weather was on our side (for once) but our navigation was not. After wandering through the surrounding forest for what felt like an eternity we did eventually find the Castle! π°

Our chair and treasurer are ready and prepared for Green Rally, Yellow Rally, and of course are representing their teams, including some horrible shorts our chair forgot they owned!

As we reach the end of the first half our the 2020/21 Spring Term, it's time to reveal what is in store for the second half, taking us through to the end of March.

As part of our Campcraft badge session tonight, our members did the most basic of Scouts pioneering projects: the A-frame. To celebrate, we told them to pull their best "beaver-like" expression. Safe to say, there were mixed results.
Tomorrow night is our Beavers Campcraft session. For it, you will need:
- Rope/String
- Sticks or stick-like items to tie together
- Paper and pens to make a model fire
- Your camp blanket (don't worry if you haven't got one or if you don't have any badges to put on one)
- Snacks to "cook" on your fire.
We will get through as many activities as we can, and any we don't get through tomorrow will carry over to next week.

Our first social of the year was the Guides Mixology badge last night, with the classic SSAGO twist of most of us getting perhaps too drunk for a Wednesday evening. Thank you to those who came along. Next week, Beavers Campcraft.
