What we have learnt today from Martha’s nomination to deputize Baba:
1. The lies that Raila won 2013 and 2017 without the kikuyu votes has been confirmed. If indeed Raila has been winning without central then why not maintain Kalonzo? Why pick a candidate from central?
2. The politics of conmanship and deceit is real and today, the failure to pick a loyal Kalonzo is a confirmation of bad politics.
3. William Samoei Ruto has gained from all this arrangement. He has managed to bring Weta, MDVD on board while pushing Kalonzo away from Baba. What happens to Raila’s traditional strongholds of Western and Ukambani?
4. It’s a confirmation that Raila is being remote-controlled by external forces who cannot allow him to make independent decisions.
5. Uhuru has been pushing Martha for purposes of 2027. There is a notion that Baba will go for one term. Martha Karua becomes the best choice. A choice that will not prevent Uhuru from making Moi president in 2027. This will only work if DP doesn’t become president.
6. This was a prayer by all Tanga Tanga. Had Baba picked Kalonzo, things would have been bitten each other. Again baba has walked into a trap for the 5th and final time.
7. Chances of Baba becoming president have diminished by atleast 20%. Ukambani votes cannot be replaced by 20% votes in central.
