MacBóchra
Seanchas
Today we release our song 'Inis Ealga Inis Fáil'!
You can find it here:
https://macbochra.bandcamp.com/track/inis-ealga-inis-f-il
The song's lyrics evoke a vision of Ireland based on two poetic names for the country associated with the Fir Bolg and Tuatha Dé Danann- Inis Ealga (The Noble Island) and Inis Fáil (The Isle of Destiny).
They can found among a list of old names of Ireland in Seathrún Céitinn's 17th century text 'Foras Feasa ar Éirinn'.
We recorded this track in February of last year when we were a duo. Míle buíochas to everyone who has supported our music and come to our shows over the past year.
Tomorrow evening from 7-9pm we will be celebrate the solstice with an evening of music and poetry in aid of the Palestine Children's Relief Fund.

Opening the night will be Gormfhlaith Ni Shíocháin Ní Beoláin with poetry as gaeilge followed by Philip Spillane who will perform a rare set of his own music. Our band will have an hour or so of music for you starting at 8pm.
