Another round of 200 tests for the SPEX project made by Uisp Nazionale with the support of Uisp Bologna! 🤸‍♂🏅

The purpose of this second round of tests was to confirm and support the data collected during the pilot study carried out some months ago 📲

The aim is to introduce in European countries 🌍 an innovative method, based on scientific results, to guide children in choosing the most suitable sport for their physical, relational, motivational and finally behavioural characteristics 📄

The further development and completion of this study will involve the use of digital exergames to improve children's psycho-physical abilities 🎾🏐🥋

Last week the project partners met in Kajaani (Finland) for the second TPM for the SPEX project. 🤩

During their visit they:
1) Tested the first SportKompas pilot with kids from a local school in Kajaani, Finland organized with students from Kajaani University of Applied Sciences;
2) Explored the SportKompas Exergame possibilities with experts from Kajaani University of Applied Sciences.

Today we present another project partner of SPEX - Cluster Sports & Technology!

The Sports and Technology cluster is a non profit organisation and includes more than 100 SME companies, working in several field of sports. The cluster incorporates 9 (sport) field labs in the region, located around (top) sport facilities.

FieldLabs are research and development locations in a real-life sports setting where new ideas, concepts, technologies and products are developed/tested in cooperation between sports, knowledge organisations and companies. Field labs have been developed for gymnastics, swimming, equestrian sports, soccer, sports for the disabled and sports stimulation.

The mission of the cluster is to stimulate the collaboration and innovation power within the so called “Quadripe Helix” of companies, knowledge organisations, sports and government in the field of sports and technology in order to: enhance sport performance, stimulate sport participation/active lifestyle and accelerate business (development)

Time to present another one of our project partners!

KAMK University is a proactive, genuinely international university with a strong regional and national profile. KAMK University has three competence areas that emphasize international activities.
KAMK University has 2000 students and approx. 230 members of staff. There are around 200 private companies collaborating with KAMK’s RDI projects.

Fields of study are:
1) School of Health and Sport;
2)Technology;
3) Business (Business, Tourism).

Smart Solutions is our profile that cuts all operations at KAMK University. Campus facilities include state of the art datacenter and game designing labs, 3D printers, robotics, virtual reality lab, and digitalized environment for games to boost training.
In KAMK four Bachelor’s degrees are also in English: International Business, Tourism, Esports Business, and Sports and Leisure Management.

Sports and Leisure Management education trains bachelor's and sport’s specialists for various educational, planning, and development tasks. In training, the skills of the personnel are related to the promotion of physical activity and well-being, the guidance of physical activity, personal training, exercise for children and young people, Exergaming (sport digital gaming) and internationalization. Sport education also includes expertise in exercise and wellness technology. In addition, the aim of our education is to develop work-oriented students' skills via different projects. Kajaani University of Applied Sciences has had projects related to digital sports, sports activities of university and high school students, the Vuokatti-Ruka Sports Academy, and the development of nature-based sports. Projects have included the development of digital and cleverness.

In Business exist a game development team, Clever Simulation Entertainment (CSE), which is specialized in Serious Games and VR/AR development. The team has years of experience working with professionals from healthcare, education, and heavy industry. The team includes professional game developers varying from game designers, to 3D artists, programmers, and game producers.
The main role of KAMK University will be the development of Exergaming (digital/video sports games, which rely on technology that tracks body movement or reaction) for motor skill development and the development of the education packages ready for implementation in primary schools in the partner countries.

Time to present another project partner!

SPORTCAMP was established on 1978 from the Karavoulis family and began operating as the first sports summer camp for kids in Greece. Gradually, the facilities and operations expanded and SPORTCAMP evolved into the largest, privately owned youth sports center in Greece.

With sports being our core business, since 1994 we offer a variety of services ranging from training camps, tournaments and championships to sports and school tours for youngsters from all over the world on a year-round basis. During the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, SPORTCAMP operated as a Pre-Games Training Center, hosting hundreds of teams and athletes in various disciplines.

In its present form, SPORTCAMP is a center with modern infrastructure that can accommodate sports clubs, youth groups, athletes and teams from all over the world, providing integrated services that combine hospitality, sports training and competition with active travelling to Greece – the ultimate sports and cultural travel destination worldwide.

EPSI strives for more innovation-friendly conditions for the EU sports ecosystem, in order to stimulate technological innovation and to set up / develop businesses with a focus on the entire innovation spectrum.

Verde – Klaster Innowacji dla Sportu 19/12/2022

Today we will present another one of the project partners in the SPEX project - the VERDE cluster for sport innovation from Poland.

Since its creation in 2011, the Verde Foundation has been managing the Cluster of Innovative Sport and Recreational Surfaces, a sector-specific organization of SMEs and institutes located mainly in the Lodzkie region in Central Poland, within the sport infrastructure sector.

Since 2018, VERDE promotes interregional cooperation, works on linking the cluster members to share knowledge and experience, develops a common strategy, creates and implements projects consistent with the goals of the foundation. This development of action has led the Foundation to change its name (to Foundation for Sport Innovations) and extend its operations towards becoming a true NGO and cluster for all the sport & vitality stakeholders within the q-helix model from the Lodzkie region.

Verde – Klaster Innowacji dla Sportu Klaster Innowacji dla Sportu VERDE został założony w 2011 roku w Łodzi jako zrzeszenie wykonawców nawierzchni sportowych i rekreacyjnych. Od 2019 roku działamy w szerszym zakresie, w imieniu i na rzecz środowiska sportowego regionu łódzkiego.
