WHAT IF?

Stephen and Jane are bestfriends for almost 4 years, the feelings since he met Jane stays fresh as flowers with her blooming eyes, red cheeks and smiling face that makes him melt like an ice cream. Everything seems so normal. Never did Jane know that someone is admiring her not even a miles away from her.

School corridor

STEPHEN: uy Jane san punta?
JANE : dun lang sa faculty room may ipapasa lang ako sa teacher naten
STEPHEN: ah sege samahan na kita

Schoolmates boys greeting Jane when they are walking
STEPHEN: Ang dami pa palang nag gaganyan sayo noh
JANE: Sus sa tagal na natin na mag kaibigan ngayon mo lang napansin yan, wag mo sabihing nagseselos ka?
STEPHEN: Nako bat naman ako magseselos sa mga ganyan Jane
JANE : Oo nga naman
JANE: by the way mag papractice pala ako mamaya para wa contest na sinalihan ko, pwede ka ba tumugtug ng gitara?
STEPHEN: Oh sure

They arrived at the faculty room and Jane passed her works to her teacher.

Studio room

STEPHEN: anong kanta yung Napili mo?
JANE: Imahe
STEPHEN: nice song choice, bagay na bagay sa boses mo
JANE: hahaha salamat

After practice they are about to go home together they suddenly hug each other and Stephen thought Jane would gonna kiss him when she lay her head on to his shoulder

JANE: Stephen kamusta pala yung mga activities mo sa school?
STEPHEN: okay lang naman nakakaya, pero minsan nakaka stress din kasi natatambakan
JANE: ano ka ba ayos lang yan pag kailangan mo ng tulong sabihan mo nalang ako
JANE: sege salamat

On the other day Stephen became cold to Jane but she don't understand why Stephen is acting like that.
She saw him swinging and seems like Stephen is thinking something deep.

STEPHEN: (hmmm should I tell her or should I not? Ano kaya magiging reaksyon nya)
JANE: woy Stephen kanina pa kita hinahanap

She sat beside him

STEPHEN: Hello, kamusta?
JANE: okay lng, ano ganap sayo? Medyo cold ka yata ngayon
STEPHEN: wala naman masyado, pero may sasabihin ako Jane
JANE: ano yun?
STEPHEN: Oh nevermind, wag nalang
JANE: sabihin mo na wag ka na mahiya *she teased*

Jane came closer to him asking to whisper it to her ears

STEPHEN: Gusto kita
JANE: huh? Hahahahah nagbibiro ka ba?
STEPHE: nope?
JANE: Kailan pa? Is this why you were being cold to me?
STEPHEN: Hmmm *confused*
JANE: but, uhhm what if we try?
STEPHEN: eh kung sampalin kita *he jokingly said*
JANE: seriously Stephen
STEPHEN: no no no it can't be
JANE: sege, alis na ako see you later
STEPHEN: Jane wait.....

Stephen left him alone where they sat together

JANE: (pano nya nasasabi yung ganun, kung irereject niya lang din naman hays bat ko pa ba sinabe yun)

The next day, the contest started and after she sang, Stephen cheered until....

STEPHEN: pede ba tayo mag usap?
JANE: sure
STEPHEN: let me explain something
JANE: go lang

He suddenly hug her tight while saying..

STEPHEN: ayaw kita mawala, you're the most precious woman for me. Gusto lang kita nasa tabi ko lagi. And if magiging tayo man what if mawala ka? Hindi ko kaya. Jane we've been friends for years already and I like you, I like you so much since the day we met and if magiging tayo man there would be a fight as a lover, conflicts and more at some point baka mapalayo ka sakin. *sobbing*
JANE: pero diko maintindihan, we could just try it diba?
STEPHEN: Just stay by my side masaya na ako

A short story

During covid- 19 a 17 years old girl found an online platform communication called discord. She sing in there whenever she's bored with a lot of people listening to her. One night, a friend of her recommended a server for her to join. While waiting for the event to start, she joined in a call where she found this 17 years old speaking like an adult man with a deep voice which could probably attract women who has a voice fe**sh.

Girl: Hello?
Boy: Hello Miss (with a very deep voice coming from him)
Girl: Woahh are you on your 20s or 30s?
Boy: No, I'm 17

The girl thinking how could it be possible

Girl: Alright, nice to meet you then.

They were giggling, laughing to each other's jokes. After that, the girl couldn't forget the boy and his voice.

A week after

The girl and the boy met on a voice call and the second time of their encounter they continue to talk for almost everyday whenever they have free time.

A girl confessed but it was just a prank on him:

Girl: I like you (while pretending to sleep she whispered)
Boy: What hahaha Are you sleep talking?
Girl: hmmmm *fell asleep *

The girl woke up and asked the boy what she said about the last night they talked. The boy answered while the girl smiled.

For almost everyday of talking to each other, friends are starting to suspect them until one of his friends ask him..

Friend: Dude do you like her?
Boy: Yes? I think so.

They all teased him but they ask the girl too while the boy wasn't on the call. And the girl said the same thing the boy said to them.

They end up together after knowing each other.
