This is a book that I picked as a farewell gift when I said goodbye to Mr. Sumanth CEO/Principal ABODE Montessori and Multiple Intelligence School after 2 years of stay (2nd - 3rd grade).

I have read this multiple times and every time I read it reminds me of my old school teachers and friends. I wonder what they are doing now!

The animal world is beautiful, every animal’s behaviour is associated with a sound be it to communicate, attracting its mate, luring its prey, or while playing. This poem below tries to capture that wonderful choir.

Also, I would like to caution that we human beings are interfering with nature, more than it is necessary which is resulting in irrecoverable damages that should be resisted. If not, nothing may remain for us to experience very soon.

𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲,

𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿,

𝗢𝗵, 𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝘇𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗲𝘀,𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲.


𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆: The scouts refers to a type of ants in the ant colony (metropolis) like the worker ants. The ants are dying and no one knows why? Some insects are dead while some stay, the forensics department guys (in the insect world) can't figure out what it is that are killing ants. An ant picks up the scent but dies immediately after that. (it could be the aerosol or air borne that was killing all the ants). Queen(lady) ant is waiting and worried for its nourishment. All ants are trying their best to keep calm (zen and roses) when they are terrorized that they were all targeted mysteriously.

There once lived a peacock. He had white, green, and blue feathers. His name was Phoko-I. As he was special the birds made him their king. One day the lion cuckoo came to Phoko-I , taking out a note, and said: “the island of animals is making a descent on your island of birds, the lion king has sent me as a messenger to warn you”.

This booklet showcases some of the inquisitive conversations(text in yellow blocks) between the Amma (mother in few Indian languages) and her 7-years-old son, Adhrit.

A dialogue between a mother and her curious child about things he observes in nature. In their interaction the duo are learning by inquiry, exploration and observations. The learnings are then transferred to drawings resulting in this unique publication.

Hope this publication will motivate parents and teachers to listen to their children and support them in their exploration and learning. Which is likely to strengthen children's deeper bonds with nature and in turn shaping wholesome development.
