Ridgewood Trail Cam

Ridgewood Trail Cam

Wildlife that hangs out behind my garage in Ridgewood NJ spotted by my trail cam.

12/08/2021

These are the more interesting vids from my trail cam. I check the camera about once a month and will continue to post interesting captures.

Check these out if you want to see what goes on in your backyard when you aren't looking.

The longer it goes on the more racoons show up.AVI 12/08/2021

It starts out slowly. Then one raccoon, then another. They start to play near the big tree in the background. By the end there are four of them.

Foxes eat bread too. You need to be patient for this one. Both foxes show up about half way through.

The cardinal attacks the trail cam. As you saw in my previous posts, the trail cam doesn't always win, but this time the cardinal loses.

Its not the best shot, so why this one? It is the first time we see this baby fawn. This is followed by the newborn and its mother.

So what do deer eat when snow covers the ground? The branches that have been pushed down by the weight of the snow.

In January traffic in the sanctuary was quite. This raccoon was the exception, and based on her girth, she seems to be doing very well.

The deer have enjoyed the back of my garage in the daylight or at dusk, but here is a series of vids that take place after dark, towards the end of November. Notice that they are eating the moss on the side of the neighbors garage.

First one of the fawns decides to make the hanging vine his toy. Then his brother becomes bored and they play with each other. This is actually a very cute scene.

What was that.AVI 12/08/2021

You see nothing in this vid. You can hear some animal start to fight with the trail cam, and then the trail cam is twisted out of place. My guess is that it was a squirrel, because there is only about a foot distance between the garage and the camera lens, and a bird would have had to fly into the scene. Of course if you are a fan of Stephen King, you may have other solutions.
