After over a year since my last mix, I figured it was well past time for another 😈 Announcement tonight 👀 GØRY is back 🩸

I've been very quiet on social media for the last while and I felt like a little update was long overdue!

This year has been extremely transformative for me. In the past few months, I've intentionally taken a step back from spending every spare moment on here. For years I've been a promoter and DJ in the local music scene, and time and time again I would completely drain myself trying to maintain an "online presence" until i would inevitably burn out. I could never put my finger on why this was happening; music is my greatest passion in life. This time was different for me - I decided to pivot my focus. I realized I had spent most of my adult years not putting equal time into the other important things. Family, finances, self care and hobbies were neglected in the past. Music was my only focus and as a result, it started to feel like a chore rather than a passion.

As many of you know, I've found myself in the happiest and healthiest relationship of my life and its helped me realize something: None of these other things matter if you aren't looking after your home, your heart and your happiness. I got my ducks in a row more than I ever have, spent more time doing things I enjoy and started putting more effort into music production! I am grateful for the times I have had in the local scene, but I also see that I wasn't investing the necessary time into my growth, both as a person and an artist. I am at peace with my life for the first time in what feels like forever 😇

So if you're wondering if I'm still pursuing music, the answer is yes! I'm doing it at a pace that accommodates the other areas of my life, and as a passion rather than a purpose. I'll still be going to shows when the timing & opportunities are right, but I've traded in the weekly nightclub visits for more time in the studio, and more time with my family. Perhaps I'm just getting older, but I must admit I'm getting a lot happier too!! My music project is extremely important to me, and I'd rather spend my energy making sure im providing quality over quantity 👌 Expect to see an absolutely lethal mix from me sometime early 2024; and my debut EP sometime next year too! Thank you so much to everyone who is so patient and supportive of me; I am grateful to you all 🥰 Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
