Beef Nalli Pulao 👨🏼‍🍳

This dish is so dear to me and reminds me of home, and me as a kid who would destroy at least two portions of this in a single sitting. There’s something so comforting about the warmth and the balanced spiciness of a pulao that I almost never find in a Biryani. The flavour of slow cooked beef is just next level and goes so well in a pulao.

Prawn Linguine 🦐 🍝

A simple 5 minute pasta dish with Garlic, chilli, cherry tomatoes, parsley, butter, lemon juice and some chunky prawns. Parmigiano Reggiano and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil to finish.

You can have a zinger or any kind of burger but this Shami burger will always remain the GOAT! It is indeed a paradise of flavors between two buns.

There are many ways to make this meal. Our version has nicely toasted buns, a fluffy egg, scrumptious Shami Kabab and mint chutney.

Chicken Malai Boti - A simple yogurt based marinade that has green chilli, garlic, ginger, garam masala, coriander powder, cumin, black and white pepper, lemon, cardamom and cream. And yes, brushed with desi ghee while it grilled.

The Word "Nihari" originated from *Nahar* which means morning. Centuries Ago, during the reign of Mughal Empire this dish was created so that Nawabs can have it as a breakfast after morning prayers.

The key to a perfect Nihari is a slow-cooked beef stew that is packed with flavors. It usually takes 6-8 hours but once it is properly cooked you cannot keep your hands off this Beefy goodness.

For some Eid ul Adha inspiration, here’s our Beef Shank Nihari with a good chunk of Nalli and a drizzle of mustard oil.

Reminds me of the time we traveled all across Northern Pakistan. This was pretty much always my go to breakfast. My complaint usually was the lack of seasoning, so I fixed that up in my version. 🤓

The thing about desi omelette is that even though it’s slightly overcooked, the chopped onions will keep it moist. I’d say that makes them the most crucial ingredient in this dish.

Centuries Ago, Bihari Kababs were invented by Muslims living in the north Indian state of Bihar that are made out of beef. Like any other cuisine, these kababs have travelled around other countries and have become one of the most popular dishes of South Asia.

In Pakistan, You will find this delicacy in the streets of Karachi specially Orangi Town and Bangla Bazaar.

These kababs are so soft that you don't even need your teeth to chew them. Marinated in Papaya paste along with the blend of spices will bring back the memories of street side eateries and home for Pakistanis.

There are certain foods that remind you of love, warmth and make you happy specially when it is raining. Some delicacy are more than just food, they are memories that you can cherish forever.

Samosas are one of those crispiest and warm street foods that are must to have during monsoon. A potato filling spiced with cumin, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, pomegranate seeds, red chilli, garam masala and turmeric. Some coriander leaves and green chilli to finish.

One of the dishes that can be easily done at home so what are you waiting for? make some samosas and yes don't forget tea because it is a match made in heaven!

Chicken Karahi first originated in the northern and northwestern parts of South Asia. why it is called a Karahi? Well to make this dish a special kind of wok is used that is called Karahi in this region.

Like any other South-Asian cuisine, Karahi has many versions but this particular one is special. Made in loads of butter, and species, it will take you down the memory lane to the streets of Lahore and OH! to the most famous "Butt Karahi" that's how finger-lickin' good it is.
