I write to embrace the process of unlearning and relearning for such a time as this.
Thoughtful Thursday Peace
"Secret Sacred Love"
Away to the spirit realm
With purpose I am enlightened.
Played like an instrument
I am the notes of worship
Arranged on a staff.
Its lines are the deepest
Forms of intimacy,
And it's spaces are the purest
Forms of light.
Early in the morning
I awaken to a dream
To see a peculiar wave
In the shape of a face
My feet are cleansed
By the hands of gentle rushing waters
Now my footprint travels farther faster
Back toward the beginning
Of our unfailing love.
Bring all things
Again to my remembrance
For now I am sure
That I always knew You.
Alas, help me to fully engage
With Your presence here
In this, the place of secret sacred love.
Thoughtful Thursday Peace
"Everlasting"
Only You can quiet
My rambunctious spirit,
And peacfully still
My seemingly chaotic strength,
Taking me back to the beginning
From the end. And so,
In slow motion I turn
Under the influence of Light
Heliotropic as the sunflower.
I take shade from storm damage
As resistant as the ancient Ginkgo
Like a tree that has grown beyond time.
In attenuation of my circumstances
I am planted in an alluvium filled soil
Of unconditional love,
Like the seed of a living fossil.
I begin but do not end
Vita Perpetua
Everlasting
Thoughtful Thursday Peace
"Communion"
Let us prepare to share
Another evening meal together
My Love.
Bring to me
Fresh Fruit from Your garden,
The bread that is Your Life,
And the choice meat of Promise.
Let us discern
With every seed available
How to replenish the earth.
Plant in me Your life giving Word,
Whose instructions gently guide me Into proper preparation.
Let us sample
The many flavors of wisdom,
And dine
On several courses of understanding.
Let desert feature
Only the finest of revelations,
And as we close
Let us cleanse our pallets with humility.
May the recipe You have given me
Be easily multiplied to overflow
For the sake of the visitors
You will send my way
And know that with each meal
I am reminded,
Like a hopeless romantic,
That we are joined forever as one.
As I feed on Your creation
I am delightfully filled
With your good pleasures.
Then he added, “Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.’ For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”

Seven Mercy Things: Abandoning Judgements, and Embracing the Powerful Ministry of the Mercy-Shower - First Love Fellowship Note: I wrote this article a few years ago while going through a rough season in life. Please read, especially if you are going through, Restorative Discipleship. I believe it will both convict and empower you. I know they are out there. There are politicians that champion immoral causes; Hollywood....

(Released yesterday)
"The Breath of Gratitude"
Thank You Lord
For the breath that flows
Through my body today
Expressing life.
Caress the souls of all those I encounter
Loving without permission
And giving without receipt.
I have no words
But stand agasp at the purity
Of Your immaculate splendor
Brilla sol.
Holy is the Lord
And Holy are these
His days.
Thoughtful Thursday Peace
"I Would Rather"
Make me to know You, Lord
And come tangibly closer to me
I know that I am not Holy enough
And that You would
Probably consume me
But I would rather
Burn up in Your presence
Than exist another moment
This far from You

"To Be True"
My emotions are honest,
Deucedly persistent,
And yet, completely untrue.
When God shows up, time and space Bend toward His sovereignty.
Overwhelmed with relief,
I believe our emotions convict us
In those memorable moments,
For ever having had a shred of a doubt.
You're going to pay for every idle worry
With the emotional currency demanded By the smirk on His face
When He does it again.
I told you so pierces with joy
And it smells like savory satisfaction
When God is allowed to be true.
It matters not what today looks like
Or the days they call having come
For I have seen tomorrow's gaze
As sure as the warmest blades
Of the glistening Son.

Psalm 45:1
My heart overflows with a good theme;
I address my verses to the King;
My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
