I've been waiting to use this blue for a while now. It'll be a late night painting 😴

Antique desk finally getting the attention it needed. It originally came with folding legs. One was off and cut shorter for some reason. In my head it was the perfect opportunity to make it a kid's desk. Today it got the other leg cut to the same length and a missing dowel added back in. The legs got attached with dominos to make them stationary. Folding legs seemed a little dangerous for kiddos.

So happy to find this set a new home! Had the opportunity to meet a nice couple from Washington D.C. who were visiting the island and they couldn’t go back home without it.

Love when my go to carpenter (my hubby 😚) does all the hard work for me. Couldn’t do any of it without him. Matching new oak to old oak to finish a bathroom vanity.

This antique pine chest had such a terrible reddish stain or paint on it. Now that it’s partially sanded, the dovetail joints finally stand out. I look at chests like this and I’m always in awe of the history they have. Was is built here in North America? Maybe it’s a chest built or purchased by an immigrant who traveled here long ago. Either way, I can’t wait to get my vision going on this piece so I can have it be available for someone else to love.

Just got this beauty 😍 I’m envisioning it being turned into a baby nursery/child’s room piece. The top drawer got sanded down today to reveal a stunning wood grain. PS-who spy’s the rainbow? 🌈
