Tara, dagat tayo.
We always say this when stressed. Healing view, sabi nga nila. Bakit ba gusto natin magdagat? It must be the magic of nature. But actually, it is more than that.
1. By the sea, we are enough.
Sa lawak ng dagat, you'll forget that you have standards to meet. That for once, you dont need to be a perfect student, daughter, son, employee, mother, lover or whatever the world demands. There's no need to compete because we already accepted that the sea is greater than us. That what we have, is our bare existence - which is enough.
2. By the sea, we are humbled.
Humility is not thinking less of ourselves, but thinking of ourselves less. Here, we are reminded that we are not the center of everyone's attention. That our actions, no matter how perfect or not, regardless of the weight we give to it will not change the sea as it is or the world for that matter
3. By the sea, we are at peace.
Maybe being at peace means knowing that there is something greater than us. It is an art of surrendering and acknowledging that we do not have absolute control.
"Tara, dagat tayo" is a call for a journey to our inner selves. Not to escape, but to remember. He invites us to be by the sea. He is there. He Who makes us enough, humble and at peace. Isaiah 43:2.
May we all have a blessed weekend!

Do stressful times reveal the true personality of a person?
We may have known or met someone many times but may not know their true personality because when we meet people during happy times, they present their best behaviour.
Undoubtedly, stress can lead to anger and frustration, and a person may deviate from their normal behaviour, but such deviation is often minor and temporary. Some people become so agitated that they become harsh, impolite and disrespectful.
No matter the situation, one needs to learn to deal with their problems rather than blaming or putting others down. The stressful time won't last, but the damage to the relationship because of your behaviour could be long-term.

From my book βTo Build a Homeβ
You need this poetry book β€οΈ
Relationships don't have to be perfect.
There were days that you wish it was over or mend the pain without conversing the problem. Sometimes, fights may take time and the promise of not getting sleep without reconciliation will be broken. There will also come a time when you don't like each other that much or else, the bond become stagnant.
But pain is part of love. And relationships aren't baked with perfectionβ it weren't made with our idea of what it's like if it were perfect.
Relationships are collaborative. As they say, it takes two to tango. It should be built from understanding, trust, and acceptance. Understanding of each other's situation. Trusting each other. Accepting that neither one of you is perfect.
Love is complex. And I think that's what some couples failed to understand. That love is not a matter of destiny, but of choiceβ perfection is just there to guide us, and when I say perfection, it means that..
relationships are naturally a roller-coaster ride of emotions.

Sometimes, it takes a heartbreak to shake us awake and help us see we are worth so much more than what we're settling for.
